X marks the spot
Swiss mountain ingenuity knows no bounds with the 2022 opening of Zermatt’s ‘Alpine X’. This cuttingedge ‘3S’ (three ropes) cable car spans an altitude difference of 4,000 metres, the highest in Europe, connecting Testa Grigia and the Matterhorn glacier paradise. The one-hour journey completes the route from Zermatt in Switzerland to Breuil-Cervinia in Italy.
