Alila La Gruyère, By Hyatt is set to open in 2023 and will be located on an 18-hole golf course remodelled by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Boasting views of the Alps and comprising 85 rooms, a 3,000-square-metre spa and three restaurants, the resort’s most exciting feature is a private beach club with a bar and grill on the shores of Lake Gruyère.

A treat for the senses
Switzerland will welcome its first Six Senses property in 2022 with the opening of Six Senses Crans-Montana. Set in one of the nation’s top ski areas, the retreat will feature 47 rooms and suites, two restaurants, a sun terrace, bar and lavish spa specialising in alpine treatments.

Marriott International has announced it will open the Ritz-Carlton Zermatt in 2026. The brand’s first ski resort in Europe, the retreat will comprise 69 guest rooms, two restaurants and bars, a spa, outdoor and indoor pools, and a terrace for alfresco dining with magnificent views of the Matterhorn.
