How beautiful is it to discover the world with eyes wide open? To explore its most beautiful places and to enrich life with brand new experiences? After all, these are the moments that are destined to become unforgettable memories which stay with us forever. Moments where we find ourselves unpredictably on a Brooklyn skyscraper watching the sunset. Moments we are welcomed by an unexpected oasis of calm in bustling Milan. Moments litening to stories recounted by the locals in a Viennese coffee house. It’s precisely these unique events you’d rather experience not with a busload of other tourists, but under the trusted guidance of a knowledgeable local. Where’s the most unusual spot for vintage shopping? Which bar mixes the most spectacular cocktail? From Le Marais to Neukölln, neubau eyewear has asked photographers and insiders to tell us which of their city’s neighborhoods the most exciting memories can be made in, and which of its quarter reflects the spirit of the ‘Neubau’ district in Vienna. Because the seventh district – as the Neubau district is also known – serves not only as a constant inspiration and namesake for neubau eyewear, but is also home to countless creative people who, with ever-new ideas, have turned the district into a melting pot of fashion labels, galleries, shops and restaurants. Here, traditional craftsmanship meets innovation, Viennese customs mix with the cosmopolitan, and historical architecture blends with urban gardening.
This unique mix is similarly reflected in the values and designs of neubau eyewear. By using environmentally friendly materials, supporting global initiatives for nature preservation and – last but not least – creating innovative designs for the most comfortable wear, neubau eyewear has been able to attract the attention of the creative community – a community that consumes consciously and always chooses products which combine style with a clear conscience. neubau eyewear’s unique See and Do Good concept captures exactly that. And these values are also captured in this District Guide. We hope you have fun using the lovingly curated tips collected from our local heroes. Discover the world through the eyes of neubau eyewear!

blogger
Even though traveling to other countries makes her feel alive, Anna-Laura finds the return to Vienna always makes her feel at ease, the way only a city that feels like home can. Growing up in a small town close to Austria’s capital, she started young, producing videos for her YouTube channel, a passion that turned out to be her future profession along with her blog, for which she won the Austrian Blogger Award in 2015. Anna-Laura is not your regular blogger however: with topics ranging from her veganism and travel, to lifestyle and sustainability, she’s created a reflective cosmos with the aim of helping to make the world a beautiful place - even for our great grandchildren. In the present day, she shows us around the hip Vienna neighborhood that is Neubau.
Why does your job perfectly match your city?
1
When I want to relax after work I go to Café Liebling. They have a very laid-back atmosphere and serve good food and drinks! When looking at reviews for this café, you’ll come across the description “Berlin style” very often. And that pretty much sums it up! It seems like they are open 24/7, since the popular breakfast spot turns into a bar at night and doesn’t doesn’t close sometimes until 4 a.m.! Café Liebling @cafeliebling Zollergasse 6, 1070 Vienna

Sustainability and veganism are two of the main topics on my blog. I write about small life changes everyone can make in order to give back to our planet and ensure that our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will live a happy life. From all the cities I’ve visited so far, Vienna has always been one of the most forward-thinking in terms of sustainability. People here are riding their electric scooters, I barely see anyone using single-use bags at the supermarket and I’m happy to say that most of the restaurants in Vienna offer at least one vegan option.
When you have to work on your laptop, it‘s best to go to Das Möbel. They have WiFi and power outlets, good drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.

Do you have one beautiful memory that will forever be associated with Neubau?
It’s hard to pick just one memorable experience, since I spend most of my time in this district. But what I look forward to the most every year is the Spittelberg Christmas market. Located in the narrow streets of the Neubau district, you can drink Austria’s popular “Glühwein” (mulled wine), buy a few Christmas presents and eat traditional Austrian food. It’s definitely one of my favorite experiences every year!

You can find the nicest vintage clothes in Burggasse 24. It’s not only one of my favorite second-hand shops, but it’s also one of the coolest cafés in the city. Where do you find inspiration?
Vienna, Austria
I’m inspired by the beauty of Vienna’s historic buildings. Taking the Tram 1 along the Ring — which circles the first district and stops at a handful of historic sites — makes me feel very blessed to call this city my home. I do, however, love traveling and exploring other countries and cultures. I think coming home after a long time abroad makes me appreciate Vienna even more. This is and will always be my favorite inspiration.
How do you spend a Wednesday in your district?
I start my day with a yoga session at Doktor Yoga, then I grab a delicious breakfast at Superfood Deli. I usually go for their signature acaí bowl and one of their lattes. Vienna’s Neubau district has amazing boutiques and vintage shops, so on my way to my meeting spot (usually a nice café like J. Hornig) I stop by at Uppers & Downers, Burggasse 24 or Bootik54. It’s hard to pick a lunch spot since there are so many great places to choose from! Café 7Stern or Erich are the restaurants I tend to go to the most. After a little work-session at Das Möbel (I love working from cafés), I either cook dinner at home or meet friends at a restaurant. One of my all-time favorite dinner spots must be Tian Bistro. They have a lot of vegan meals and offer an affordable four-course menu every day.

Why does your job perfectly match your city?
Neukölln is a very vibrant, multicultural part of Berlin. You interact with the “real” people here, so if you are looking to hear about crazy stories, be open and some Berliners might tell you some beautiful, shocking, or just crazy lessons they’ve learned from life. As a creative this gives me a lot of energy that I can put back into my work.
How do you spend a Saturday in your district?
Berlin, Germany
14
I like to spend my Saturdays at Körnerpark. To me, it’s the most beautiful park in Neukölln – maybe even Berlin. The Körnerpark is right in my Kiez (Berlin slang for neighborhood) and you wouldn’t expect it to be here at all, it’s just way too pretty. The second place would be the old part of Neukölln called Böhmisch-Rixdorf. Situated between Sonnenallee and Karl-Marx-Straße, you’ll be surprised to find a cozy little village here. One of the nicest Christmas markets in town is in the heart of the Böhmisch-Rixdorf area, at Richardplatz, every year. Even if it’s always super crowded, it’s definitely worth it.

The young photographer Jeisson Martin has chosen a unique neighborhood in Berlin to be his new home: Neukölln. It’s an area full of surprises where tourists, international students, and newcomers mingle with original Berliners. The area’s best-known streets Sonnenallee and Karl-MarxStraße in particular represent Neukölln’s vibe, with all the tasty smells wafting from falafel shops, Arabic supermarkets and local shisha cafés. This neighborhood is the perfect place for an upcoming creative like Jeisson to find limitless inspiration. And maybe that’s the reason why he always comes back to Berlin, after various trips to Thailand, Toronto and Paris. Neukölln might not always be pretty, but it never fails to deliver an interesting story, and an ideal backdrop for street shots to boot.

Be aware of pickpockets. And of course the local market “Die Dicke Linda” at Kranoldplatz which takes place every Saturday. If you like fantastic cheese, wine, local slowfood or even Japanese snacks, you should definitely go there!

The best place to people watch must be Hermannplatz for sure. Sit outside a “Späti” (short form for Spätkauf, a typical Berlin corner shop) on a Friday or Saturday evening and just absorb what is happening here. There will be a lot going on… Hermannplatz, 10967 Berlin
Berlin, Germany
You‘ll meet the long-established locals at one of the numerous pubs you can find in Neukölln. In all of the ones I’ve been to, the locals were very open-minded and friendly. In Germany we call them “Spelunken” - you can recognize them from the big sign advertising the beer brand „Schultheiss“ on the outside!
Where do you find inspiration?
For my freelance work, I really love to communicate with the people from my neighborhood. But as I now have a full-time job in the creative field, I do get my inspiration from what is happening in the world, especially in museums and galleries. If I want to see some fine selected art in my district, I go to the old Kindl Brewery – a collector couple exhibits a wide range of interesting artists in this unique building.

Covent Garden, London seen by
Jonathan Daniel Pryce

photographer
The award-winning photographer Jonathan Daniel Pryce, alias GarconJon, has built his career on a passionate idea: back in 2008, when Instagram wasn’t even a thing and “blogger” was still a rare profession, he started documenting street styles in his home town of Glasgow. Since then he’s focused on photographing men with a unique fashion sense, but opened his portfolio to collaborations with renowned brands and magazines, as well. For our guide he shows us around his new home of choice, Covent Garden in London.
“I love Covent Garden because it feels small and transports me to London’s historic past. The sense of scale with low buildings contrasts with its bustling and urban contemporary culture.”
Do you have one beautiful memory that will forever be associated with your neighborhood?
In June of 2018, I did a ten year retrospective of my street style work. It was a show presented by Vogue Hommes on the London Fashion Week schedule and was a seminal moment for my career. We had the show on Floral Street near the Piazza in Covent Garden. I’ll never forget the opening night.

Why does your job perfectly match your city?
London is a city that always looks forward. It is nostalgic with its preservation of the past but overall, it’s optimistic and futuristic. That suits photography. It’s a technical art form that, for me, is about documenting changes in the world.
How do you spend a Wednesday in Covent Garden?

Jazz Brown is a restless soul who founded her own creative concept agency in 2009. Having left her hometown of Hamburg behind to find new challenges in her adopted home of Copenhagen, she now works as a freelance journalist and creative director for make-up and fashion stories for international magazines. The decision to make Copenhagen her home was down to the trendsetting environment, its people’s sense for design and the Danish work-life balance which ensures a high standard for food, leisure time, and more. One neighborhood especially caught Jazz’s attention: Nørrebro. Nørrebro is one of the most popular districts in Copenhagen. Known for its multicultural and young inhabitants, it’s home to numerous restaurants, cafés and shops, a variety of stores for all budgets from high fashion to second-hand stores, from fancy Burger spots to Kebab kiosks. Here, in Nørrebro, she starts her busy days with a good cup of coffee and a dose of inspiration from all the interesting people around her.
Do you have one beautiful memory that will forever be associated with your neighborhood? To be honest, it is absolutely the food that gets me to go to Nørrebro all the time.
2 The restaurant Sliders is a burger ’n’ fries place. But what’s special about Sliders is the name: Sliders stands for miniature burgers and that’s what you get here. The idea behind the small burgers is that you should be able to eat them with only one hand. What’s also nice is that since they are so small, you can eat a variety of different burgers while you sit down and have a couple of beers with your other free hand. Since I’ve never seen it available anywhere else, I like to order a burger made with duck it’s something special isn’t it? Sliders

When you take a stroll along the main street of Nørrebro the Nørrebrogade you cross the Queen Luise Bridge where you certainly should take a stop to embrace the beautiful view over the Peblinge Lake. The Peplinge Lake is just one of many lakes in Copenhagen but as soon as it gets warm lots of people gather around these lakes and enjoy the weather. When you keep going and pass the bridge you will reach the Coffee Shop Zaggi on Frederiksborggade. Geographically Zaggi is not 100% considered to belong to Nørrebro, but it needs to be mentioned because of its outstanding concept, and yes, you can thank me later. They serve high-quality coffee for only 15 Kr, which is 2 €! This is cheap for a good coffee, but it’s even cheaper when you realize how expensive Copenhagen is in general.

Grød is the Danish word for porridge. And at Grød they serve the best porridge I ever got to taste. The menu changes throughout the year due to the fact that they serve fresh seasonal fruits as toppings for the warm healthy breakfast mash. The creations on the Grød menu are versatile and it’s not coming as a surprise that by now you can buy the Grød cookbook, which I highly recommend. Located inside the very famous Torvenhallerne you will find Uganic. Other than the usual juice bars, the concept of Uganic is its sugarcane-based juices. Husi is the owner of Uganic, and originally from Uganda. He brought his culture-based recipes to Copenhagen and all of his juices are very different from the popular smoothies you can buy everywhere else. I’m always happy if I get to stop by Uganic. Husi is very funny and friendly and besides his juices, he also sells fruits and vegetables that are hard to find elsewhere like Okra or Graviola Soursop, among others.

Despite the Copenhagen tradition of cycling, I still walk through the city instead of taking a bike. That is how I always meet new people or discover new shops and locations. Copenhagen is always a little more ahead of every-thing when it comes to fashion and food.
You should know about...
Copenhagen, Denmark
The prices. Copenhagen can get very expensive if you are not used to Krona.
One of my absolute favorite things to do is to go to the movies. Since I moved to Copenhagen, I’ve been lucky enough to watch more movies in the original version. Denmark is so small that movies don’t get translated into Danish — which is good for me! If you ever want to see a blockbuster or an independent film go to Empire Bio. It is one of these small movie theaters that has its own special style yet still is modern and offers of course all kinds of candy and popcorn.

Bananna Park This is the Cinderella story of a park that once was a wasteland and then got turned into a green oasis for skaters, toddlers and anyone that simply loves to be in nature. The name is a combination of the street name, Nannasgade, and the big, yellow, banana-shaped embankment. Antwerp South, Antwerp seen by
Paulien Riemis
Even though Paulien wasn’t born in Antwerp, she couldn’t imagine living in another city, having moved to the Belgian town seven years ago. The small cobblestone streets, the grand historic buildings and the cozy, buzzing terraces at night not only saw her falling in love, but also buying a house where she now resides with her boyfriend and her Persian cat. It’s an oasis of peace in her hectic life as an all-round creative mind: when she decided to create Polienne.com, her blog, she could only have imagined all the beautiful adventures that lay in store for her. Today Paulien is a digital content creator focusing on style, travel and interior inspiration who gives offline workshops and, from time to time, even designs fashion pieces and jewelry.

How do you spend a Saturday in your neighborhood?
I always sleep in — no, I am not a morning person — cuddle with our cat and sometimes treat myself to brunch at Tinsel. Around noon, I usually go to the market at Theaterplein with my boyfriend and our friends, where we always hang out at the little stand that sells homemade shrimp croquettes and rosé wine. A recommendation for sunny Saturdays! In the afternoon I like to shop or stroll through the antique stores at Kloosterstraat. As my boyfriend is a great cook, I have my own mini restaurant at home, but we do like to go for drinks at Vitrin or Barbossa afterwards.

Why does your job perfectly match your city?
My job exists of so many different aspects and so does the city! A huge advantage is that when I sometimes work during the weekends, I can still enjoy my days off on Monday and Tuesday by lounging in one of the many coffee bars Antwerp has to offer. You can turn everyday into a weekend in this city.

I get inspired when I people watch or go shopping at unusual stores with my friends. They always see things differently than me which can be a great eye-opener or an unexpected inspiration boost.
11 The urban all-round fashion, deco and food concept store Juttu has a clear mission: get local initiatives out there into the big wide world. Which is probably the reason why they’re located on Antwerp’s biggest shopping street.

Le Marais, Paris seen by
Caitlin Hennessy writer
42
Leaving behind her beach side hometown in Australia for the city of light and love, Caitlin had anticipated she would return home in less than twelve months. Two and a half years, one French husband and a beautiful apartment later and she’s still in Paris. Spending her days writing for various publications while still managing to include a healthy amount of retail exercise into her daily routine, Caitlin finds the French way of life to be a unique balance of work and pleasure.
Antwerp, Belgium
1
The best place to people watch is Le Progrès! Sitting on the corner of Rue de Bretagne and Rue Vieille du Temple in the heart of Le Marais is guaranteed excellent people watching. The peak time for this is during fashion week, where you can sip a wine or espresso and watch the models, influencers and designers saunter past you, or perhaps even sit beside you. Le Progrès 1 Rue de Bretagne, 75003 Paris
Do you have one beautiful memory in particular that will forever be associated with Le Marais? My favorite memory is of my husband proposing to me while we sat at a cafĂŠ drinking espressos while the winter sun warmed us.
Paris, France
43
“Located between the third and fourth arrondissement, Le Marais has become a hub of vegan delicacies, concept stores and art galleries. This area is vibrant and filled with a youthful energy.”
44
How do you spend a Sunday in Le Marais?
I love spending my weekends in Le Marais strolling through the streets with no real purpose. I tend to sleep in a lot later in Paris then I would in other cities, as the streets don’t come to life until around 10am. After getting dressed for the day I walk down to the Marché des Enfants Rouges and buy my fruits and vegetables for the week. Right beside this is the best fromagerie in Paris, so if I have time I’ll stop by to purchase some truffle brie and colorful flowers next door. The afternoons are for sipping white wine in the park with friends (in the summer) or red wine on a heated café terrace with a brilliant book.
Paris, France
2
Marché des Enfants Rouges 39 Rue de Bretagne, 75003 Paris
3 When you have to work on your laptop, it‘s best to go to Wild and the Moon. This hidden oasis of hanging plants and vegan treats is an excellent spot to park your laptop and get inspired. The food is all gluten free (a rare treat in France) and the waiters speak perfect English and are happy to help. My favorite thing to order here is the sweet matcha latte and mouth watering banana bread! Wild and the Moon @wildandthemoon 55 Rue Charlot, 75003 Paris
Why does your job perfectly match your city?
Being freelance can become quite alienating as you have a lot of free time when most of your friends are at work. However, in France they allow their workers a two-hour lunch break that gives me quality time to catch up with a friend before returning to the comfort of my laptop and settling into an afternoon of writing.
45
Where do you get inspired?
Paris, France
The streets of Paris are filled with dozens of chic men, women and even the dogs are better dressed than me on most days. Sitting down for a coffee across from some of the bustling fashion-infused streets of Paris gives me a lot of inspiration. Even looking around at the other customers in the cafĂŠ and overhearing snippets of conversation can spark an exciting idea for an article.

The most photogenic place of the city is Place des Vosges. Built in 1612, the oldest planned square in Paris used to house some of the most notorious people in the city between the 17th and 18th Century, including Victor Hugo. Now the Place is a beautiful spot to lie and read a book while you marvel at the picturesque architecture. Place des Vosges Place des Vosges, 75004 Paris

The twists and turns in Victor’s career journey are quite unique: after having graduated in philosophy and cognitive science, he worked in a hospital researching in the field of neuroscience. Quickly, he noticed something important was missing from his life — namely, creativity. After just one year, he decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps in advertising. And here he is now, working as a freelance creative strategist and photographer. Milan’s neighborhood of Isola is his perfect physical counterpart, always stimulating his mind and senses. Even though there’s not much left of the area’s dark past, where criminals used to hide from authorities, it still remains true to its name which means island. It’s a diverse isle in the midst of the city, attracting free spirits from around the globe.

Isola, Milano seen by
Victor Schnur photographer
“Isola is a creative and international area, full of advertising agencies, graphic design studios, art galleries and vintage shops.“
Sometimes you’re lucky and discover those rare abandoned places in the midst of renovated buildings and new parks: Via Pepe is one of those untouched areas. Isola Pepe Verde has its origin in an occupied shared garden where locals could plant vegetables, take their children for a play, and organize events on topics from nature to neighborhood. Because there was such a big interest and the results were so amazing you can now go there every day, have a tea, play table tennis or even watch a movie in their open air cinema during warm summer nights.

A few years ago I improvised a gig in the middle of the neighborhood, with some friends of mine who are members of an industrial band – just a guitar, a singer, two drumsticks and a couple of trash bins. Surprisingly, nobody raised a complaint because of the noise and suddenly we had a huge crowd listening to us, other people joined, and we played all evening long. Isola really embraces creativity. Always!
Milano, Italy
Do you have one crazy memory that will forever be associated with Isola?
The long-established locals hang out at Wasabi. Even though you can never be sure when or if the bar will be open, you should still drop by you wouldn’t want to miss out on the great drinks, rare selection of liquors, the cozy atmosphere and the live blues or jazz music. You can’t really tell if Wasabi’s owned by Melanie or her dog Pitou! It’s a legendary place where all sorts of musicians (famous or not) and locals enjoy the bar’s character which is highly influenced by the rich history of blues.

When you want to impress your date, it’s best to take them to Piazza Archinto. As Isola is getting gentrified really quickly, new bars and restaurants are opening everyday, new residents are filling the neighborhood which makes some people concerned that the original spirit of the area is getting lost. However, if there’s one thing that can keep the spirit alive it’s Piazza Archinto, commonly called “Piazzetta” - a small square with a few bars and plenty of diverse people. For lunch and aperitivo the place to be definitely is La Cantinetta, one of the oldest traditional bars in the area, run by Luca and his mother. It’s always crowded and interesting people are mingling around. You will almost certainly meet one of the many neighborhood legends here!
Milano, Italy
After dinner you find the best - and affordable - drinks at Vinyl Pub. It’s a small pub with its walls plastered with the covers of the best albums in music history. Here the music is good, the discussions noisy, and things can escalate quickly…

5 A hidden gem is Micamera! It is heaven for photography lovers! With more than 5000 titles, it’s got one of the world’s largest selections of photography books ranging from rare copies from the 30s to really experimental and international zeitgeist editions. Every time I need to relax after work and get new creative stimulation I come here, have a nice chat with the owner, Flavio, who then gives me an expert tour through his carefully curated assortment while sharing his knowledge. They regularly organize workshops and exhibitions with leading international artists, but also have a good intuition when it comes to new talents. Micamera @micamera_milan Via Medardo Rosso, 19, 20159 Milano
I’ve never seen any other city that’s capable of being dynamic and quiet at the same time, that is super creative but also respectful towards traditions, that is provocative but never offensive. In Milan, if you work in advertising - but also in art, design, or fashion - you’ll always find people willing to innovate the scene and break with boundaries, but still succeed in creating beauty and elegance. The energy of the people here is so strong!
Milano, Italy
Why does your job perfectly match your city?
How do you spend a Saturday in your district?
Every Saturday there’s a local market in Isola where I often meet up with friends to buy some fresh and local food. Then we spend the rest of the day cooking, eating and chatting all together… At least until it’s time for the aperitivo!
6
Local Market Isola
Via Garigliano (Piazzale Lagosta), 20159 Milano
Sometimes the hectic life in the city makes me want to take a break where I can enjoy silence and beauty. Milan’s architecture is characterized by high buildings and small streets; in Isola, however there are a few spots where you can experience something like a panorama view at the sky. When the sun sets, grab a few beers and visit one of these spots: Built over the railway, Cavalcavia Bussa wows with several kilometers of open space, perfect to watch the sunset without irritating buildings in sight. If you want to see the sun set between the beautiful glass towers of Milan’s tallest building, Torre UniCredit, it’s best to go to the newly constructed park Biblioteca degli Ableri - simply breathtaking.

El Born, Barcelona ”The Neubau district in my town would be El Born. In this neighborhood, the traditional and the modern coexist in harmony. According to Anabel Barcelona is a city that never sleeps — and, judging from her vast CV, taking a break is not really her thing either. Working as a fashion photographer can already be exhausting, but owning and managing two event and studio spaces on top must be quite a challenge. She shares the passion (and responsibility) for these creative hubs with her partner, musician and DJ, Gerard Daurella. Together they’re already planning their next big thing: NOU-STUDIOS which will be opened soon. Born and raised in Barcelona Anabel knows the city inside out, her new favorite neighborhood El Born she actually explored only recently though. Being the restless open-minded person that she is, it didn’t take long to discover all the secret spots that made her fall in love with this disctrict.
Do you have one beautiful memory that will always be associated with El Born?
I didn’t know the area too well until Gerard — my business and life partner — showed me around. Strolling through the streets of Born, you can discover a fascinating side of Barcelona where old traditions are still thriving. The streets are lit with beautiful old lanterns, the shops wow with high ceilings, and you can find bars that have been around for more than 40 years. The El Born market, which has now become a museum, is another stunning spot in this neighborhood — don’t leave the city without visiting it! Mercat del Born Plaça Comercial, 12, 08003 Barcelona

Why does your job perfectly match your city?
I am a fashion photographer and I own two studios that we rent out for shoots and events. And Barcelona is made for this particular branch! Working here is very inspiring; you meet people from all over the world and you just never know who might become your next client. Barcelona is an easy-going city with a very positive and happy vibe where people can find relaxation from stress no matter how big the city might be. It is and will always be interesting to live and work here.

“Soho is the epicenter of street style in New York City. It’s where the chic will hang out and show off their unique style.“
60
Being a creative in New York can be challenging –– for the now 25-year-old Lily the decision to leave California behind in order to move to the Big Apple turned out to be the right one however. The city gives her the energy, the drive to always move forward. After having graduated from the known Sarah Lawrence College she was faced with the big question if she either wants to pursue a career with a fashion magazine or start her own business. She chose the latter and ever since works as a blogger, collaborating with international brands, travelling the world and expressing her style along the way.

Do you have one memory in particular that will forever be associated with your favorite neighborhood?
My first ‘real’ NYC apartment was in the heart of Soho. It was a tiny, and very expensive, studio on West Broadway. It fit me, a bed and an awkwardly shaped dinner table, and that’s about it. But I loved it! It was my first time living on my own, and I have so many memories there.
The most photogenic place of the city is Greene Street, in between Spring and Broome. White gorgeous column buildings and cobble stone streets. It’s where I first started shooting for the blog, and still my go-to spot two years later. Greene Street, NY 10012

How do you spend a Sunday in Soho?
I love Sundays in Soho. The streets are quiet and I love to just loiter around the neighborhood, starting with brunch at Sant Ambroeus. Then I stop by some of my favorite stores for some eye candy. The beauty of metropolises lies in the diversity of its inhabitants; there’s only one kind of person that sometimes seems rather hard to find: someone who was actually born there. Jeremy Mitchell, J. Mitch for short, is one of those rare specimens. Born and raised in New York, the photographer and blogger strides through the city, always on the look out for new creative adventures and locations to shoot. While his professional work is focused on fashion, in his personal projects he likes to venture out with different styles of shooting and unexpected topics like ballet.
