Our History Silicon Technology S.A.C. It was founded in January 2001 in the district of Los Olivos - Lima, being the first Peruvian company dedicated to Design and Manufacture of Polymeric Insulators up to 500 kV and specialized maintenance service in application of silicone coating, also positioning as pioneers in technological innovation in the electrical sector. Emerges as a company with an innovative approach to growth and the market more and more competitive. The size of its operations made the company grow organisationally, so it was necessary the implementation of a modern plant of more than 3500 square meters in the Park Industrial of Ancón, where the Center for Technological Innovation for Energy (CITEenergía) is also located. Our company develops product technologies for high voltage lines with certifications international Its methods and procedure have been evaluated in foreign laboratories such as LAPEM (Mexico) and IEEE (Brazil). The results of all these meticulous and strict tests have been satisfactory, for that reason it has managed to certify and homologate its products in foreign companies in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Guatemala and Venezuela. The international presence of Silicon Technology, for several years, has allowed it to consolidate as a business partner of companies with global renown, such as:

Timeline We founded Silicon Technology on January 4.

We certify all the tests required to start serial production.

We added the Coating Service with silicone in Sub-Stations and in Plant.

We started our Internationalization with the first export to Brazil.

We started the lightning impulse tests, after acquiring the 1600 kV generator

We accredited the CITEenergía Technological Innovation Center through Executive Resolution N ° 112-2015-ITP / DE published on November 12th.

In Silicon Technology we manufacture insulators and disconnectors polymeric of different types and voltages, used both in transmission and distribution power lines, and in substations.

Insulator type Suspension of Distribution Series STGSL 15 - 52 kV FEATURES: The suspension type insulators polymeric or anchoring STGSL series consist of materials of the highest quality and durability. Designed and manufactured under the IEC 61109 standard. The elastomeric insulation is made of Silicone Rubber of the highest HTV type consistency from Dow Corning and the insulator core is a Fiberglass Round Rod of the ECR type, which provides a great mechanical resistance to traction, bending and torsion. Metalwork is made of galvanized steel under ASTM 153, ideal for service on the coast, mountains and jungle.

APPLICATIONS:

These components are used as end-of-line anchoring and suspension insulators, medium voltage electrical distribution overhead substations, especially in areas with a high concentration of industrial pollution, salt spray and dust. Depending on the type of installation and application, different ironworks models are available for the good performance of the insulator.

Transmission Suspension type Isolator Series STGS 72.5 - 380 kV FEATURES: The suspension type insulators polymeric or anchoring STGSL series consist of materials of the highest quality and durability. Designed and manufactured under the IEC 61109 standard. The elastomeric insulation is made of Silicone Rubber of the highest HTV type consistency from Dow Corning and the insulator core is a Fiberglass Round Rod of the ECR type, which provides a great mechanical resistance to compression, bending and torsion. The hardware is made of aluminum alloy for services in areas of high corrosion.

APPLICATIONS:

Its main application is the manufacture of switching devices such as unipolar disconnectors, rod holders, column-type supports in substations, cut-out line extenders, especially for outdoor use in areas of high corrosion and contamination. Depending on the type of installation and application, different ironworks models are available for the good performance of the insulator.

Bushing type Isolator Series STBS 15 - 36 kV FEATURES: Bushing polymeric insulators of the STBS series are made of the highest quality and durability materials. The elastomeric insulation is made of Silicone Rubber of the highest HTV type consistency from Dow Corning and the insulator core is a Fiberglass Round Rod of the ECR type, which provides great mechanical resistance to traction, bending and torsion. The high quality bronze drive shaft allows the circulation of the rated and thermal current without overheating.

APPLICATIONS:

It is used as bushing in distribution transformers, measurement and external maneuvering equipment, such as power switches, etc; especially in areas with a high concentration of industrial pollution, salt spray and dust. It depends on the type of installation and application, different models are available depending on the current (250, 400 and 600 A) for the good performance of the insulator.

The high quality bronze drive shaft allows the circulation of the rated and thermal current without overheating.

Line Separator type Insulator Series STSL 33 - 500 kV

FEATURES: The polymeric insulators type phase separator of the STSL series, are constituted by materials of the highest quality and durability. The elastomeric insulation is made of silicone rubber of the highest consistency and the core of the insulator is a rod of Fiberglass Round Rod (FRR), which gives great mechanical resistance to bending and torsion. The ironworks is made of forged steel and galvanized ASTM 153. The hardware and hardware are made of galvanized steel, ideal for services in hostile environments. It includes a millimeter regulator to specify the installation distance between conductors

APPLICATIONS:

The disconnector disconnector STDCD is a single-phase disconnector, operated with a hook pole, used to section or isolate circuits in electrical distribution systems up to 38 kV. The distribution disconnector can be installed in a single or double crosshead and has a capacity of 600 A of direct current, 65 kA of peak current and 40 kA momentary. Optional bolts allow reclosers, regulators, capacitor banks or measuring devices to bypass.

Silicone Coating In plant and substations We performed the SiCoat 570 Silicone application service to insulators, a service provided both in the plant and in substations. The hardened elastomer has a high hydrophobicity angle, which prevents the formation of a continuous film of water on the surface that would result in surface leakage currents. In addition, the product contains polymeric molecules that constitute a free fluid of reduced molecular mass, called cyclic molecules. Given their ability to migrate to the surface, they can encapsulate the contaminating particles that are deposited on it, making them hydrophobic in turn. However, under extreme environmental conditions, the Sicoat 570 formulation also includes alumina trihydrate, which releases H2O upon heating, providing resistance to degradation at high temperatures caused by creeping arcs.

Cut Out Disconnectors Series ICX The interchangeable fuse-switch type ICX is designed for use in air distribution systems. It can be used to provide overcurrent protection and visible indication of fuse operation. The ICX can indicate a visible break point for maintenance personnel, and can function as a load break switch when used in conjunction with a portable load cutting tool.

Interchangeability: The ICX circuit breaker is designed to be electrically and mechanically interchangeable with S & C circuit breakers type “XS”, A.B. Chance type “C”, and Cooper type “L”. The covers of the fuse holders are also interchangeable with the S & C design. Tests have confirmed the behavior of the ICX fuse holder and fuse holder with S & C and Chance. Voltage levels: Simple nominal voltage cut-outs can be applied in any single-phase or three-phase system where the line-line voltage does not exceed the nominal value of the circuit breaker.
