This exhibit welcomes 25 new members into its historic Guild of Artists, which has been a place for artists to gather since 1906 when visionary sculptor Solon Borglum moved to the area and held annual exhibitions in his studio. Formed in 1922, The Silvermine Guild of Artists was incorporated in 1924 as a not-for-profit to provide a permanent and supportive community of artists.
Since that time, Guild membership has grown to over 300 nationally and internationally exhibiting artists. This exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to engage with the newest members of this dynamic community of professional artists and learn about their works.

This annual exhibit features work by instructors of the Silvermine School of Art working in a broad range of styles and the artists explorations within their medium.
Solo exhibition of artist Tom Matt, who creates paintings of his childhood drawings. The work speaks of “time within time” and “passage of time.” The ongoing series was inspired by the pandemic which conjured feelings of fear and resilience from events that Matt thought lay dormant in childhood. The adult and child artist collaborate to process vulnerability and shared strength.
Matt was the recipient of the Board Chair Grand Prize award at Silvermine’s 71st annual A•ONE in 2021. This exhibition is a result of that honor.
