Postcards to Her (2013) Instructions: 1. Read the correspondences posted. Three board are composed of conversations between the artists and their mothers. Another board has responses to various Asian American women by other artists in the class. 2. Think about the process of physical correspondence. How does reading the tangible postcard differ from electronic methods of communication? 3. Write your own postcard, either taking a pre-made card off the wall or creating your own about a significant Asian American woman in your life. 4. Add your postcard to the board of responses, or take it with you. We also provide stamps if you’d like to send your postcard. We hope this correspondence allows you to engage in real or metaphysical dialogue with prominent and/or underrepresented Asian American women.
