Concept
Leaft is a system of little gardens that can be share between people that live in the same building. The aim is to create new relationships between joint owners, by sharing growing plants usefull during different domestic attivities. The gardens are indipendent and can be “call to each floor by pulling down a little the cables. Each person can use each garden only once a day.

Modularity Technology
the shell on the top protects the plant in case of snow or strong wind
an electric motor moves leaft Leaft uses weather rss to know if it will cold temperature or strong wind Leaft “drinks” from the canale using some filters on the bottom the jar includes arduino, sensors and all circuits there’re temperature, moisture and light sensors

moisture sensor (don’t use coke to test it, because the acid can damage the nails)
Circuit
resistor Pin 2 Pin 1 Pin 0 ground
temperature sensor resistor
5v power
light sensor resistor Arduino the breadboard connects all elements IUAV University of Venice | Physical Computing Workshop | Spying on vegetables | Yaniv Steiner Antonio Altomare, Silvia Boscolo, Carla Piazza
