get oriented On the left. Walk along Castelului Street. At the end of the first street on your left you will see Rope Street (1). Walk through Rope Street, at the end of the street take a right and walk till the first pedestrian crossing, cross the road and you will reach Piaţa Sfatului (2) (Main Square), the old city center.

On the right. When you leave the apartment, walk until you reach the pedestrian crossing:

- to the right, at the end of the street, you will see Poarta Schei (3) and a small park with Ecaterina’s Gate (4); - to the left, the alley leads you to Tâmpa promenade (5) (there you have a nice view over the old city) and to the cable car (6) that brings you in 3 minutes to the top of Tâmpa Mountain (7). From Poarta Schei you can take a 5 minute walk along Prundului Street and reach Piaţa Unirii (8) (Union Square), the center of the old Romanian district of Schei, where you can visit St. Nicholas Church and the Museum of the First Romanian School (9). If you go through Ecaterina’s Gate: • walk till you reach the pedestrian crossing on G. Bariţiu Street, cross the street and walk along the Citadel Walls (10) to the White Tower (11) and Black Tower (12); at the end of the alley you will reach Livada Poștei area (13) and the bus terminal where you can take bus no. 20 to Poiana Brasov; • if you just keep walking along G. Bariţiu Street, you will see on your right the Courtyard and the main entrance of the Black Church (14).

Across the street from the apartment. Across the street, you will see a small alley that leads to the Weavers’ Bastion (15); the Bastion is open to the public every day, except for Mondays.

Going to Bran Castle and Râșnov Citadel. Take a taxi to AUTOGARA 2 (County bus terminal)

and from there, you can take the bus for Bran (which goes every 30 min). You can pay the ticket with the driver and it should cost around 10 - 11 lei / person. When you leave from Bran, take the bus from the bus stop and on your way back we recommend you to make a stop in Râşnov to visit the Rural Citadel. The bus ticket would be around 4 - 5 lei, because it’s only a 10 min drive. And it’s totally worth it! Then you can take the bus back to Brașov (AUTOGARA 2).
