MASTER THESIS inia
Sard
The thesis deals with the theme of the recovery of a green area of Posada, in Sardinia, with a peculiar nature, with the aim of restoring value to this strategically located area, while maintaining its naturalistic character, immersed in its native vegetation. In addition on maintaining the contemplative and naturalistic character, native to this landscape, there is therefore the insertion of a new landmark, easily recognizable from the street, and which will constitute a new idea of a covered square, flanked by services, reception spaces and spaces for collective use.

The idea of an urban park stems from the desire of maintaining a central green strip that can link together the natural character of the area with the new entry of public use functions. Inside the park it is possible to identify two different languages; the first one is the more naturalistic one, that belongs to the highest part, with belvedere point and the downhill walk through the olive trees; there is also a more architectural language that characterizes the area in close contact with the street, along which a walk develops longitudinally, connecting the different polarities of the project, starting from the cemetery, passing through the church of Santa Lucia, up to the new civic center.

O2 The square is the pivot of the activities that take place on its sides, presenting itself as an essentially empty space, but open to infinite interpretations and configurations, such as a sports events, open air market, gastronomic festivals, musical events or theater shows. The thesis demonstrated that it is possible to design a new idea of a square, starting from a place and the elements that characterize it, establishing a system of relations between city and landscape. In fact, the green, uncultivated and left in the wild, has been revitalized through a park full of nature walks and places of staying; a walk in the green, accessible to evreybody in an inclusive way, which rediscovers the signs left over time by users of the area, before it became an abandoned area. Traces of local culture and tradition are found instead in the shapes of a small church that is inserted in a system of paths and flows, able to put it in communication with the green park while respecting its isolated character. Pushed towards the new city and decidedly evident from the highest point of Posada is the laminated wood structure, the skeleton of a now forgotten public place, to which our project is linked with a series of grafts with the aim of softening its shape and guaranteeing it the constant use through its re-functionalization. What was previously a disused sports pitch is converted into a multipurpose covered square, enriched by receptive services and civic sharing spaces, capable of attracting a catchment area ranging from citizens to seasonal tourists.

The project stems from the rede-velopment of a run down council estate in a district of Milan, and re-established the subdivisions of homes for families, including common spaces, such as rentable areas for co-working, shareble laundries, libraries and study rooms, as well as large terraces for free time. The details of the project come up to the scale of the furniture, designed to be custom-made for the inhabitant who will use it.

The scope of the project is to ensure a better liveability of the space for the inhabitants, facing the critical heritage that the city left after the second half of the 20th century; in fact, the project moves from the relocation of some main ways, up to the realization of small grafts, thought for those who actually live those environments. All the interventions can be linked to each other by two main pathways that are opposed to the “Spina Vitale” designed by Bottoni in the 60s. For this reason they take the name of “Controspine”. bench + tub with trees

INQUADRAMENTO TERRITORIALE
The project concerns the conservation of a lombard farmhouse in a small village born around the Chiaravalle Abbey. The new site will include a B&B with natural baths, a museum about the history of the borough of Chiaravalle and the production of beers, a tradition carried out over the years by the monks of the Abbey.
