IMPORTANT RESEARCH TIPS FOR STUDENTS Tip 1: CONNECT GOOGLE SCHOLAR TO SIM LIBRARY Did you know that you can configure Google Scholar to offer links back to articles you can get through SIM Library and partnering University library? Changing a few simple settings is all you need. 1) First go to Google Scholar – http://scholar.google.com 2) Click on the Settings option at the top of the page
3) On the page that follows, click on Library links
4) Enter SIM Library in the blank and click the search button. You will then see the options for connecting to SIM Full Text databases. Check all boxes.
5) The next time you search, you will be linked back to SIM to locate full text of documents.
TIP 2: USE THE E-RESOURCE MAP TO NAVIGATE DATABASES Finding scholarly sources for academic research can be a daunting prospect, with numerous websites, databases, audiovisual materials and print publications of varying quality and authority. This is when e-RESOURCE MAP comes to your rescue!
