This month, we meet Cinderellimouse from the EA Creator Network. Not only are they an amazing simmer who’s always positively interacting with the community, but willing to support those who need it whilst creating amazing builds and Let’s Play videos. Get to know her more in this interview.

How did you become a Game-Changer?

I have a terrible memory, so it's hard to remember the details. I think it was a “right place, right time” situation. I know I would have been super excited!

Who inspired you to apply for the GameChanger programme?

There are so many inspiring simmers out there, and I'm lucky to have met so many supportive people in the community. I think the surprising thing is always how friendly and approachable people can be.

What are your favourite and least favourite parts of the Game-Changer programme?

I love being able to connect with other passionate players, not just in The Sims but across different games and platforms. I'm always a little shocked when some cool GC from another brand jumps forward to offer me advice! Almost all the players I've interacted with in the GC program are genuinely nice people! I love how nurturing and supportive the staff at EA are as well.

Least favourite... hmm... I think as a smaller creator, I can sometimes feel a bit overlooked. However, I think that's more about my own FOMO and I know the right opportunities will never pass me by. The Community team at EA are very good at addressing any concerns I have when I reach out.

How does being a Game-Changer fit into your everyday life?

It's funny trying to explain what I do to people... they usually don't understand what I'm talking about! Then, they complain about some bug in FIFA or something.

Sometimes, it can be a little tricky finding the time to create content or record, which I think a lot of GCs tend to stress themselves out over. The Community team is always very understanding and they really stress the importance of prioritising our mental health.

If you could choose just one pack to keep, which one would it be and why?

DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE BETWEEN MY BABIES!!! It's like Sophie's Choice!

One feature I use almost every time I play is

the Club System. I use it for all sorts of weird and wonderful shenanigans, so I guess I'd have to say Get Together... which is probably an unpopular choice.

If you had to get rid of just one pack, which one would it be and why?

Hmm... Probably My First Pet Stuff. I just don't play with pets very often unless they're intrinsic to the story line. So, it's probably the pack I use the least. Please send my condolences to my fellow rodents!

Do you prefer building, CAS creation or gameplay? Or something else entirely?

Gameplay! But I'm a bit of a 'SQUIRREL!' player, meaning I jump around from one thing to another a lot. I really enjoy all aspects of the game, depending on my mood.

I've always been a bit of a storyteller; before I started YT, I was a blogger. So, when I was choosing a category for Spark'd, I went for Storyteller (even though I had NO video editing experience). I'm really pleased I pushed myself out of my comfort zone with that and took the opportunity to learn some new skills.

I also used to do a lot of modding and even spent about a year where I was obsessed with Create A World in The Sims 3. I think there are a lot of different approaches to enjoying The Sims and it's really just down to player creativity.

Where do you find the inspiration for your creations?

Oh, everywhere! My degree subject was Humanities and I've always been interested in what people create and the story behind that creation. Human history and culture is so rich and vibrant, and I love that the game increasingly reflects that!

What is your favourite social media platform for all things Sims and why?

Twitter! I'm talkative, so I love interacting with other players and seeing what they create. Youtube is great, but you don't get the same kind of discussion there like you do on Twitter.

Who is your favourite SimGuru and why?

I'm a Libra, I don't do favourites! *sits on the fence*

All the Gurus are wonderful in their own ways. I have so much love for them all. Please don't tell them though, I'm trying to keep them on their toes!
