I am a Recent BA Architecture graduate seeking to expand my knowledge and experience within the industry in a practice, focusing on wide range of projects. Being brought up in both Milan and London, I’ve been captivated by the classical and organic modern architecture. I have developed fine hard and soft skills through my previous business experiences. I have also developed my skills through practical experiences and volunteering, which allowed me to get first hand experience and develop skills including leadership, teamwork and public speaking through leading and working together in groups into events, challenges and social actions.

Y3 Botanic Bank Placed within Barking, the project proposes a model of a Tropical Botanic Garden, which recycles banknotes into fertilizer to be used for its plants. It will act as a social hub and teaches the locals about exotic plants and enlivening the community. The concept began through the experimentation of ink and the making of prints that lead into the interest of banknotes. This led into the research of banknotes in the UK and discovered that with the introduction of the pandemic, there was a decrease of the deposit of old and dirty banknotes, which needed to be replaced with the new plastic ones. This gave an opening to a program idea which consists in the collection of old and dirty banknotes from the British banks to be stored, shredded, and collected into compost tanks to be reused into a tropical botanic to create a livening new environment for the local surrounding.

The journey begins through a forced perceptive entrance, which leads into a main central open space. The public areas are situated on the first floor, where the three main areas are located consecutively, with the Ames Room, followed by the ‘Forced Perspective Street’ room and finally ‘Pepper’s Ghost Theatre’ to conclude with actors depicting the historic lives of the people in Fish Island. These the three parts are individually insulated, so the external glass roofing acts just as a protection.

Y1 Mushroom House The Mushroom House is located in the North Greenwich, within an old Gas station. Inspiration began through the site walk and the interest in the lost and found objects around the site. Through the research I wanted to find a way to recycle plastic and found a Mushroom that is able to break down the plastic particles into soil fertiliser. This also led into an interest of mushrooms and the ways of implementing an architecture to grow varieties of edible mushrooms to be used into a restaurant. The design of the architecture was created to resemble the Grills of the mushrooms, creating a very interesting curvy effect of both the exterior and interior spaces. This will provide the area with a both industrial and public side, which will complement the reviving redevelopment of the Greenwich peninsula. Long Section Pencil Drawing

The Importance of Photography in The Delivery of The Fascist Propaganda Within Rationalist Architecture in The Casa Del Fascio Y3 Dissertation Abstract Rationalist architecture is a style created in Italy during the 1900s that uses simplified shapes with clear references from the renaissance style. This style started emerging with new architects with innovative ideas that still had respect and enough knowledge of the renaissance architecture but wanted to initiate a fresh start after the first world war. All decorative features were removed and replaced with simple geometric shapes, which encouraged the architecture to focus more on its main functionalities. Although this wasn’t very appreciated initially by the local public, Rationalist Architecture was becoming an attractive option for the Italian Fascist leader, Benito Mussolini, as a way to create a new era of Italy which reflected his vision of reviving the Roman Empire into a modern and futuristic era. Through analysing the Casa del Fascio in Como, one of Giuseppe Terragni’s best work, also known as Palazzo Terragni, I compare the styles and methods of photography executed by photographers of the period, Marcello Nizzoli, Mario Radice and Ico Parisi and how they have used photography to convey specific messages and feelings of the architecture to communicate with the viewers. I believe that architecture has a level of innocence and that architect’s views of lifestyle may influence the design of the architecture but not so much that it prevents the architecture to be converted for a different use. Photography may have caused the Casa del Fascio in being viewed in a negative light by some, so I would like to see how contemporary photographers viewed Terragni’s work and if they any specific intentions while photographing the Casa Terragni. I approach the work of Paolo Rosselli and Enrico Cano, two well established Italian photographers and so, will understand weather my point can be proven. Read more
Close from Afar Resolve Collective Construction volunteering As part of a collaboration between Resolve Collective and the London design festival 2020 I participated in a 7 day’s volunteering experience at the Now gallery in North Greenwich. We were involved creating a staging facility to host a programme of events, platforming creatives from the local area through the use of all sorts of materials rescued from the neighbouring construction sites including bricks and broken asphalt blocks to create the seating. I was able to experience a great level of team-working and an interest in the improvisation of building with what’s available. See more
