SIMONE MASETTO MAGHE 6 October 1981 Venice Simone Masetto Maghe born in Portogruaro, birthplace of Luigi Russolo, visionary inventor of the "Intonarumori" and signer of the futurist manifesto with Marinetti. Maghe enjoying a futuristic pop influence, he starts an artistic research already from middle school, thanks to the teacherPope Giovanni Galli who directs him to a professional arts school. After obtaining the diploma in textile arts in Venice, from 2002 to 2007 he coordinates a protected laboratory for the reintegration of work through the arts of silk decoration and manual weaving, in the APE Social Cooperative of Portogruaro. In recent years, he produced a limited series of cushions and bags of fabric printed in xylography for the Magma store in Milan, and he paints numerous pictures that represent "pop" objects with worn-out objects, such as taps, clothes racks, sanitary ware, washing machines and various appliances. He moved to the Lombard capital from 2008 and he continued his artistic studies graduating in 2015 at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera with the chair of the Masters Nicola Salvatore, Omar Galliani and the historian Andrea del Guercio very attentive to the meaning and value of Contemporary Sacred Art. From 2014 to today Simone Masetto Maghe conducts research based on aesthetic values and the expressive potential of velvet in Contemporary Art, transfiguring the noble fabric from the main features in a territory of timeless investigation where micro and macro cosmos coexist in the pictorial dimension. "Velvet becomes an infinite canvas an endless and peaceful place where to express my humanity. When I find the right one I like to analyze it closely with the loupe lens, studying its touch and shine; I always find with some amazement the signs that leave my fingers on the surface while I prepare it on the frame, I caress it, gently touch it and sometimes start working again folded on itself with bleach and acrylics at a time of a new imaginary Big Bang! " 3

Simone Masetto Maghe after a decade spent in Milan, in 2017 she moved to Montelupo near Florence and inspired by the softness of the Tuscan landscape her painting on velvet is characterized by natural elements, such as trees, plants, leaves, flowers and insects. Almost immediately she started to collaborate with some local textile and leather goods companies very attentive to the fusion trends between art and fashion, such as Alessandro Bini Tessuti d'Italia and Scandicci BisBag, who bravely knew how to capture and enhance their style responding positively to the message of Vellutoitaliano. "I wanted to call my research this way because I have always been attracted by manual and creative work with particular attention to Italian artistic craftsmanship. Vellutoitaliano is not just a name but a tribute to the emblazoned Made in Italy, rich in history and people in love with what they do. Like my father, son of farmers and welder from all my life, he has been able to generously transmit the experience and the passion to build anything with his own hands starting simply from the drawing immersed in the presence of here and now.
