first Annual Woman's Day Anniversary hosted by the Women on the Move for Christ. Our Ministry focus this year was fasting and praying for God to soften our hearts and the hearts of our community towards His will. We have been blessed to see the work that God has done throughout our Ministry. This women day, entitled “I’m Glad Jesus Straightened Me Out” has been a testimony to our lives and we pray that it will transcend through the lives of others. To God be the glory.

FIRST-LADY LAUREN MEDLEY

RE V E R E N D CHARISSE RENEE TUCKER,

who was both licensed to the Gospel Ministry on March 18, 1997 and ordained on June 19, 2001 at the Metropolitan Baptist Church under the leadership of Senior Minister Dr. H. Beecher Hicks, Jr., is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania She accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of eleven and was baptized at Philippians Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor S. Amos Brackeen. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University and a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University School of Divinity.

IT WAS DURING her time at Metropolitan that the Lord cultivated, amidst her overall calling to equip the body of Christ, an intense passion for ministry. She has been honored to serve as teacher of numerous Bible studies, facilitator of workshops, and guest preacher for various conferences, retreats, and worship services. In 2000, she founded a ministry called “Dream Circle” which encouraged women to identify, work on, and walk in the dreams and destiny that the Lord had prepared for them before the beginning of time. IN 2004, Reverend Tucker was led of God to return to her hometown, Philadelphia to serve as an associate in the church of her youth, the Philippians Baptist Church, which at that time was under the leadership of their newly elected pastor, Reverend Arlington Medley. In May of 2009 Reverend Tucker joined the St. Paul’s Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Leslie D. Callahan, who was the newly elected Pastor at that time. She currently serves at St. Paul’s as the Minister of Administration. IN THE SUMMER of 2009, Reverend Tucker began working with WomanPreach!

Inc. (A voice-based work committed to training and assisting preaching women in discovering, uncovering, re-envisioning, and strengthening voice around Womanist/Feminist concerns of justice and equality) where she served as the

Executive Director until August 2013. She continues to serve as an advisory board member and co-Hort leader. In 2010 she began serving on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Baptist Association and from May 2012 until October 2013 she served as Moderator of the Board. Reverend Tucker also serves as an instructor for Palmer Seminary’s Eastern School of Christian Ministry program. REVEREND TUCKER IS a writer whose insights and reflections can be read on her blog, “Becoming”at www.becomingmoreme.wordpress.com. She is also a guest blogger on callahan 2014. wordpress.com where she is one of three clergy blogging through the 2014 Lenten Season. Reverend Tucker holds dear to her heart, Psalm 138, which reminds her that the Lord “will fulfill God’s purpose for God’s people.
