We both are raising girls. Within them we see their strength, their light, and their goodness….to us, they sparkle. And in a world that seems to becoming increasingly dark we want to encourage them to continue to shine brightly not only for themselves, but to help others as well. And this idea was the inspiration behind our newest line of fabric “Shine Bright.” “Shine Bright” includes a main print with reminders for our girls, such as “never dull your sparkle,” “always leave behind a little glitter” and most importantly that they are “loved.” It also includes 6 supporting prints: “Smarter Than You Think a fun wordsearch circle print; “Made to Sparkle” a geometric diamond print; “Brilliant” a non-directional light bulb print; “Cross My Heart” a sweet lattice print; “Glitter” a great blender print and “You Are” a wordsearch print that highlights the words “you are” in gold while more than 40 other words are hidden and waiting to be discovered...words that describe how we feel about our daughters...words like “outstanding,” “smart,” “talented,” etc. All the prints were designed and named with our sweet girls in mind. However, we soon realized that this idea...and these prints...were about more than our feelings for our daughters. They also reflect how we feel about all the women who have freely shared their lights with us...so many strong, resilient, amazing women have helped light our paths. Their sparkle has helped guide the way. Their brilliance has made the world a better place for all of us. So while “Shine Bright” was designed with the hopes for our daughters in mind, it is dedicated to all the women out there who sparkle. It is our hope that many projects will be made with this fabric by and given to women who shine bright in a spirit of love and gratitude for one another. Here’s to strong women. May we know them.
