Hi all, Ina here. I thought I would give you all an insight into what’s been going on over at Simtech Sims Forum
I can guess by now you have all seen the New Look of the forum…If not, what are you waiting for haha. Head on over and check out what’s been going on. Not only do we have fresh, bright colors and banners but we also have a brand new section for all you sims 4 players. Of course we have kept our sims 3 and sims 2 sections alive as not all of us have converted to being full blown sims 4 addicts, although I am on the verge of it LOL We have also improved out downloads sections. In fact we have not 1, not 2 but 3 download areas for ease of use.
Simtech Star As our newest member of staff I thought I would get an informal interview with Tacha. She is one remarkable simmer and creator for both sims 3 & 4 and deserves to be recognised within the simming community. Tell us a little about you, the creator behind the sims. I am an "older" simmer, I am happily married with 3 beautiful kids, an 18 yr old boy, a 14 yr old boy and a soon to be 4 yr old girl.I have been nursing for 19 yrs and play the Sims to help me relax. I am also an older simmer, well not that old but older than most haha. How long have you been playing sims? I have only been playing the Sims since Jan. of 2012. I had seen the kids play the original Sims and at the time thought it was nonsense. I originally started playing on the Xbox 360 then realized there was so much more on the computer.
What is your favorite part of the game, is it creating or playing? I love creating more then playing at this point. Playing is fun but I easily get bored and distracted. I really enjoy the modeling aspect of it because there are always new assignments. Your comp pics are amazing, you are very talented.
How did you come across the forum here? I had been competing in the modelling section of the Officials and found a link to Simtech. Everyone here was so welcoming and wonderful that I decided to hang around. We are so happy you did, you are an amazing person and one of the nicest simmers to have joined us. If you were to run an advert for the forum what would you say? That its like getting to play the Sims with family. Supportive family friendly fun. Awww Tacha that is so nice. In Sims 4, what would you like to see added or changed? I would love the have more things to interact with, more activities, and more interactive careers. I agree with you, I do like sims 4 but at the moment there is something missing. If EA were to approach you to design the next EP / SP what would you do?
Within the community, who inspires you, or who do you follow? Wow I am inspired by so many that it is hard to pick. There are so many wonderful simmers out there. I follow anyone who looks like they are having fun with the game!
I would love an EP with travelling and mysteries. And a fashion one where you could design your own clothes.
Is there anything you would like to learn to do (simming wise) that you haven’t already done? I would love for someone to teach me how to make cc. Right now I only know how to do re-colors. I would love to learn to make new meshes and things. Yes I know there are tutorials out but it is not the same as having someone show you and answer questions as you go. I would love that too, maybe a master class in the art of cc making, hmmm fabulous idea.
What words of advice can you give a new simmer just starting out? Play the game for yourself. The only person that should matter when it comes to how you play, pictures you take and things you build is yourself. Excellent advice, you are so right. If you were to host a competition what would it be? I have hosted several modelling competitions in the past and enjoy doing them so more than likely it would be another modelling contest. Oooh I love comps, I like to see all the creative flair come out in pictures.

Another popular area of the forum is the Writers Place. We have stories, lagacies and off site reading material. No matter what king of story you like to read there is bound to be something you like, and if not then come along and share your own or one you have read that you think others would love to read too. Here are a couple of my favorite stories so far.
The Jenson's & The Wilson's How it all Started by Jack This is a Story about two old School friend lose contact for several years and out of the blue, they bump it to each other. at this stage where the story will start. both girls. Leah Jenson & Jenna Wilson are in their early 20's. The story is in 2 parts, the 1�� part we get to meet the families involved. There are so many twists and turns in this story. Jack has a knack of drawing you in to a safe cosy spot then bam…you are sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for the next instalment. I can’t give too much away, but lets just say if you are looking for something to get your teeth into and not a run of the mill story then this is definitely one you want to read.
On Painted Wings: A Rainbowcy/DITFT Legacy by Chelsea This legacy is a DITFT/Rainbowcy! “My first one too! I tend to play by my own rules but will follow some of the rules set by the Rainbowcy Challenge.” Says Chelsea. Chelsea’s Sims are based loosely on BERRY Sims so they will have the unique name qualities. Not necessarily food or fruit related but somewhere in between. This story/legacy is still in its early stages but, well I personally love it. Especially since one of the characters is a fairy. I love fairies don’t you? Here is a small snippet from the legacy… Chamois has spent her entire life in an orphanage. She was found abandoned as a toddler and has been a source of ridicule ever since. She’s been called Albino, Ghost Girl, Freak, and even crueler names which she won’t mention. Plus…she’s a Fairy.
