In the U.S. there are 77,491 independent sales Consultants and 7,934 in Canada, for a total of 85,425. Thirty-One Gifts provides direct and indirect employment for 86,393 individuals.

HISTORY

GIVING BACK

Thirty-One Gifts, LLC, was founded in 2003 by CEO Cindy Monroe in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

With a goal of helping women to find financial freedom through owning their own business, Monroe used her background in direct selling to model the business. A key aspiration of the company is to celebrate, encourage and reward others.

Thirty-One Gifts is a faith-based company, grounded on the principles of the Bible’s Proverbs 31, which celebrates hard-working women who are compassionate, gracious, and inspiring to their families and the people around them.

Cindy created a home-party model for Thirty-One and hosted the first party herself. She recruited her first independent sales Consultant, who is still with the company today, and soon products were being sold through a network of sales Consultants. Cindy created a Catalog and added the option of personalizing products with embroidery to make the items more unique, and set them apart as special gifts.

Thirty-One relocated from Chattanooga to Johnstown, Ohio, in 2008 due to the broad base of retail talent in central Ohio. In 2010, the Home Office was moved to east Columbus, and in 2011 they opened a distribution center in Springfield, Ohio, and another in west Columbus.

Thirty-One expanded into Canada in September 2012, and now is in nine provinces.

In 2015, Thirty-One began offering Jewell by ThirtyOne – featuring premium faux leather handbags, totes and wallets – and JK by Thirty-One customizable jewelry.

In 2016, the Johnstown and Springfield, Ohio, Distribution Centers were consolidated into two Columbus Distribution Centers.

Giving is a large part of Thirty-One’s culture. That’s why Thirty-One Gives was created as a charitable program that empowers girls, women and families to live a purposeful, thriving life.

Their mission is to help girls discover their authentic selves at a young age, empower them as women and support them as they shape families and communities.

They believe if we all spend a little time to create this world—volunteer for a charity, tell a girl she’s beautiful, or something small – we can truly make a difference for her.
