think! Mathematics

Synopsis: think! Mathematics is a series of books adapted from the MOE-approved New Syllabus Primary Mathematics series in Singapore and has been adapted to several curricula around the world, such as the UK and Spanish editions, the former which has been shortlisted for the British Book Design and Production Awards. It uses vivid illustrations of children of various ethnicities and eye-catching graphics to bring across key mathematical concepts in bite-sized lessons. A dyslexic friendly typeface is also to support an inclusive learning environment. Based on research conducted by psychologists Jerome Bruner and Jean Piaget on cognitive development in children, the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract and spiral approaches have been incorporated to enable students to first grasp fundamental concepts before moving on to more challenging mathematical strategies.
