Synopsis: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed... is designed specifically for lower secondary students by bringing together three powerful and affecting local plays by some of Singapore’s most prolific and established playwrights. In Absence by Geraldine Song, ageing Mother mends old shirts for her eldest son but struggles to mend her relationship with another. A teenager makes new pratas from an old and forgotten recipe so as to recollect memories of his late mother and build an open and honest relationship with his Father in Perfecting Pratas by Desmond Sim. Haresh Sharma’s Don’t Know, Don’t Care explores how a secondary student learns to love and care for a grandfather he never truly appreciated until he realises that they are on borrowed time.
