This concept rules a design that is not frozen in a momentary configuration, but accommodates as well as drives change. The design can be therefore grasped as a set single unitary facts that ensemble: overlap, contaminate, deform and transform each other. It also allows the design to be executed without a precise sequence of operations, depending on availability of funds, up-coming necessities, or more importantly without a presumptious prognostication that would project an outcome 10, 20 or 100 years from it’s conception. The diagram forecasts a possible time frame of execution of this project, every element composing of the overall design can be integrated at any time allowing the design to evolve simultaneously with the social, economic and environmental transformation of the landscape.

TO LANDSCAPE DESIGN FOR MARINE DI LECCE
This part is composed of three different components that aim to start a prolific redefinition of the relation of the coast with the inland landscape, especially in relation with Lecce that has the potential to become a strong focus pole. As properly expressed and synthetized in the ‘report Lecce è il suo mare’:“there can be no fruitful requalification of the coast if not in strict relation with the inland’. The parts that compose this design figure are presented in this order: - Program differentiation - Inland connections - Chain connections.

Fragmentation is one of the greatest consequence of urbanization that destabilizes the delicate connections between different habitats that represent the coastal ecosystem. Most of the anthropic disturbances, such as construction of buildings and infrastructure and crowding or pollution are with surity squeezed tightly in a stretch of land that sits in between this sequence of environments, interrupting and disrupting the natural process in the flow of biomass. To mitigate this condition, a set of plausible corridors with culverts, bridge or replanting are delineated that could over time restore the connection between these segments.
Pocket ecosystem patches; the establishment of these small parcels of land as pocket ecosystems is aimed at conserving biodiversity, located along the coastal strip. 3

The intent is to map out all of these corridors that are pre-existing and that necessitate an enhancement, and then to link these corridors to their respective environments without affecting the private property realm. This approach that is existing in every section of the design, can be executed without carrying out any demolition or intervention among the private realm. Nevertheless, all corridors and connection would be strengthened and enhanced with the execution of the Built environment interventions. 4
Built environment strategy deals with providing better and more functional infrastructure to this area that could mitigate the effect that cause hazards. The strategies put forward here could in various ways trigger environmental processess that would help in requalifying the area and providing a better and improved life.

Spiaggiabella beach reformation: Amongst the two areas selected for the overview, this particular section engages the part of the coast that is most eroded and degraded as a consequence of the buildings constructed without respecting a certain setback from the coast. These buildings being a danger to the coast are proposed to for demolition and in its place we envisage the resilient nature of this environment taking its course and in due time reforming and rehabilitating the coast and beach with the help of fences placed in order to form dunal systems.

AREA Torre Rinalda public space pilot project: Here is overall view sheding a light on the area of Torre Rinalda to forecast a condition in which most of the individual strategies presented previously are effectively executed and are carried out after the demolition of the bathing facilities and houses that are causing coastal degradation. The image on the right shows the plot that is requalified after demolition, and according to the ‘Plot rehabilitation plan’ has to be transformed into public spaces, parking and pocket ecosystems

The collages below show in chronological order the most critical area before demolition. A wooden pathway allows crossing and protects the foundations of the building with wooden fences. The last collage represents the area some years after demolition with reformed dunes stabilised by fences and vegetation.

About the project: The design brief of the studio required a deeper look into the meaning of wasteland and how it can be treated and translated into a contemporary design approach. The choice of project area was left to the teams and therefore we aimed our attention to the suburban fringes of the city of Milan, where two areas were selected to be detailed- The decision to pick these precise area resides on the fact that they are the only missing segments of a pathway system (cammino dei monaci) and are: 1) socially and economically underdeveloped zone leading to a abused and wasted spaces and 2) abandoned stretch of infrastructure leading to physical desertion. The first site sits at the very edge of the city and the thematic of the transition between city and countryside and the relation of city and landscape are the focus point. The second area is in a small culturaly rich village formed around an abbey- Chiaravalle founded in the year 1135; the focus for design in this section is unite the village as a whole that is massively interrupted by the presence of an abandoned railway track that cut through the abbey complex.

About the project: Torre Rinalda is a coastal town- one in a long chain of coastal town related inwards to the city of Lecce. The town of Torre Rinalda poses serious problems in terms of coastal degradation, exploitation and abuse of the coastal system, overflow and mismanagement of tourists. In this regard the goal of the project was to focus the tourists in the core area of the historical tower and hence ease the pressure from the built masses along the rest of the stretch of beach, in order to give the opportunity to the coastal systems of beaches, dunes and wetlands to reclaim what was lost.

About the project: The project is located in Valtellina valley which is north of the city of Milan at the foot of the Italian Alps. The character of different natural elements in the valley is dictated by its distinct East- West orientation. In its entirety, the project tries to re-establish people’s awareness of these features. The visual perception of the surrounding natural elements is the main tool used to recreate this relation. From this perspective, people- both locals and foreigners, are conducted and guided through determined visual frames in order to look at defined remarkable elements of the landscape.

Facilitation to explore the river Adda waterfront
Understanding the values and the possibilities these four areas could offer, the project takes into consideration three different levels of intervention in order to achieve the highest possible rate of requalification of Bassa Valtellina. These three levels, conservation and innovation and requalification, try to combine the already existing local features, which still need to be improved, with new and critical innovations towards a sustainable rehabilitation.

Year- 2018 Project Location- Lonavala, India Project by- Srishti Singh Softwares used- Autocad, sketchup, V-ray, photoshop Contribution- Landscape Design Status- Built Recognition - Won in the India, top 10 Holiday home category, ID Honours 2020 The design brief for landscaping of Kamath Residency for Mr. Gopal Kamath was that for the existing resort, the landscaping had to be completely removed and redone. The one thing that could be retained from the old were old Rain trees (albizia saman), these trees are all aged above 70 years and have huge canopies with beautiful shimmering silhouettes. To glorify and celebrate these trees was the key to designing the landscape. All the design deccisions consciously began revolving around the old rain trees - Quite literally. The pathway patern planned with concentric rings of shahbad stone inerted 6” widthwise into concrete brings one attention to the center of the circles which is the tree. Muted and subdued lighting designed to offer a light glow to the property is designed with only trees holding ones attention by being uplit by low intensity uplighters.

About the project:
The land faces windward side of the lake and also has a very shallow rockbed hence it was completely barren, 400 trees that are indegenuous to the ecolgically rich but fragile biodiversity hotspot of western ghats were planted - some of them surrounded by gunny bags of soil to providing growing medium on rockbed as a result the property has now transformed into a wooded area with a rich fauna. The landscape executed for Amanzi resort is designed to evoke emotions in people experiencing the spaces. In the manner to feel joy, a butterfly garden with flower whorl pattern is designed to attract butterflies and birds; to evoke the sense of fear, a tall, dense Casuarina tree maze with arching branches over narrow paths is planted with two clearings at the center of them- one leading towards the outside of the maze designed like an oasis as a reward and the other back inside designed as a desert as a disappointment for going back inside the darkness. To evoke the sense of happiness, fragrant flowering trees are planted at the entrance to the resort. To bring about the feeling of mystery, a dense forest of woody tropical trees with narrow paths and water lined clearings is planted. To evoke the sense of peace, space with rolling lawns and an uninterrupted view of the mesmerizing vision that is Pawana lake.

The workshop‘s agenda was of exploring the following: physics-based design methods, integration of form and structure, computational methods of optimisation for fabrication, and adaptation to local means, methods and craft. The aim was to provide conceptual and programming framework for advanced digital methods within collaborative architectural design. The workshop available a rich, varied and international collaboration from institutions such as Zaha Hadid Architects London, AA School of Architecture , London, Southern California institute of architecture ( SCI-Arc ), Los Angeles apart from local partners including BMS college, Bangalore.
