จดหมายข่าวออนไลน์ ไอแอมเนสตี้ ฉบับเดือน มีนาคมนี้ ขอเริม ่ ต้นกันด้วย “ข่าวดี”

Welcome to the March edition of the I Amnesty E-newsletter. In this month's newsletter I am pleased to start a newsletter with “Good News” for a AI Thailand.

อันเนื่องจากเมื่อเดือนมกราคมทีผ ่ ่านมา แอมเนสตี้ฯ ประเทศไทย ได้เข้าสู่กระบวนการขออนุมัติ โครงสร้างองค์กร (Structure) ผ่านคณะกรรมการ บริหารสากล (IEC) และได้มก ี ารส่งตัวแทนจากคณะ กรรมการบริหารสากล มายังแอมเนสตีฯ ้ ประเทศ ไทย เพื่อประเมินความพร้อม คุณภาพ ศักยภาพ ทัง้ ด้านนโยบาย การบริหาร การทางานของเจ้าหน้าที่ ความร่วมมือของสมาชิกทั้งรายบุคคลและกลุ่ม รวมถึงความมีส่วนร่วมของอาสาสมัคร โดยประเมิน ด้วยวิธีการพูดคุยและสัมภาษณ์ ถาม-ตอบ และเมื่อวันที่ 29 มีนาคม ทีผ ่ า่ นมา แอมเนสตีฯ ้ ประเทศไทย ได้รับจดหมายจาก คณะกรรมการ บริหารสากล (IEC) แจ้งว่าได้พิจารณาข้อเสนอการ อนุมัติโครงสร้างองค์กรและได้มีมติเห็นชอบต่อการ ให้สถานภาพแอมเนสตีฯ ้ ประเทศไทย เป็นหนึ่ง ในโครงสร้างของแอมเนสตี้ อินเตอร์เนชัน ่ แนล การได้รับอนุมัติโครงสร้างองค์กร (Structure) หมายถึงว่าแอมเนสตีฯ ้ ประเทศไทย มีสิทธิที่จะออก เสียงในการลงมติของหน่วยงานภายใต้แอมเนสตี้ อินเตอร์เนชัน ่ แนล โดยมีสิทธิและความรับผิดชอบ ทั้งปวงตามที่ปรากฏในธรรมนูญใหม่ขององค์กร หากสมาชิกต้องการให้อธิบายถึงการเป็นโครงสร้าง ของแอมเนสตีฯ ้ ประเทศไทย กรุณาเขียนอีเมลถึง ปริญญา บุญฤทธิ์ฤทัยกุล ที่ director@amnesty.or.th ขอแสดงความขอบคุณมา ณ ที่นี้ อีกครั้งสาหรับ ความร่วมมือ ความสนับสนุนจากสมาชิกทุกท่าน และขอขอบคุณเป็นพิเศษสาหรับ ที่ปรึกษา อาสาสมัคร และสมาชิกทุกคนทุกกลุ่มที่ให้ความ ร่วมมือเข้าร่วมในการสัมภาษณ์ประเมินขออนุมัติ โครงสร้างองค์กร

AI Thailand pleased to inform you that, International Executive Committee (IEC) send a letter to AI Thailand, says that “The IEC grants structure status to AI Thailand. AI Thailand has met the minimum criteria for structure recognition laid out in the paper Structure Recognition – Assessing Competency and Capacity (ORG 41/007/08).

AI Thailand has demonstrated that it is an effective and sustainable organization. The IEC congratulates AI Thailand and encourages them to continue their process of organizational development and growth”.

Means that AI Thailand is entitled to exercise voting rights in AI decision-making bodies together with all the rights and responsibilities integral to the new status. กิจกรรมเดือนมีนาคม 2 – 7 มีนาคม ผู้ประสานงานฝ่ายสื่อสาร ผู้ประสานงานฝ่ายสมาชิกและเครือข่าย พร้อม อาสาสมัคร เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมฮอมปอยนักกิจกรรม ภาคเหนือ จ. ลาปาง เพื่อร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนบทเรียน การทางานในปีทผ ี่ ่านมา จากนั้นเดินทางต่อไปยัง จ.เชียงใหม่ เพื่อพบปะสมาชิกและศิลปินผู้สนใจเข้า ร่วมโครงการ”ศิลปินเพื่อแอมเนสตี้” และจบการ เดินทางที่ จ.เชียงราย พูดคุยกับอดีตนักโทษ ประหารชีวิตและกลุ่มแอมเนสตี้ ในมหาวิทยาลัยราช ภัฏเชียงรายและมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง

3 มีนาคม เจ้าหน้าที่และอาสาสมัครร่วมออกบูธงาน NGOs Fair จัดโดย NIST เป็นงานที่รวมองค์กรที่ ทางานด้านสังคมเพื่อแนะนาให้นักเรียนกว่า 170 คน จากโรงเรียนอินเตอร์ 11 โรงเรียน ได้รู้จักและร่วม สนับสนุนกิจกรรมขององค์กร มีคุณครูและนักเรียน ได้ร่วมลงชื่อในแคมเปญ Shell จานวนถึง 85 คน

Activities in March March 2nd – 7th Campaign Coordinator and Growth Mobilization Coordinator, together with volunteers joined in Hom Poy activity, Lampang province to share their working experiences in last year. Then the team moved to Chiangmai visiting members and artists who interest in our, “Artists for Amnesty” project. Finally we all visited Chiangrai to discuss with the former executed prisoners and Amnesty’s members in Rachabhat Chiangrai University and Mae Fa Luang Unversity.

March 3rd Amnesty’s officers and volunteers joint in a NGOs Fair which organized by NIST. This fair included organizations that working on social issues to introduce more than 170 high schoolstudents from 11 international schools. All of them have a chance to recognize and support the AI’s activities. Moreover 85 teachers and students participated in Shell campaign to sign their names.

7-9 มีนาคม นายอควิลิโน พิเมนเทล อดีตประธาน วุฒิสภาฟิลิปปินส์ เยือนประเทศไทยเพื่อร่วม แลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์การรณรงค์เพื่อยกเลิกโทษ ประหารชีวิตในประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ ที่เขาเป็นผูม ้ ี บทบาทสาคัญผลักดันกฎหมายดังกล่าวผ่านสภาฯ นายอควิลิโนเข้าพบคณะกรรมาธิการสิทธิมนุษยชนฯ วุฒิสภา อธิบดีกรมคุ้มครองสิทธิและเสรีภาพ กระทรวงยุตธ ิ รรม และร่วมพูดคุยกับผู้สื่อข่าวไทย และต่างชาติ

26-27 มีนาคม กลุ่ม Silent Power จัดงาน นิทรรศการ Silent power ตอน เมล็ดพันธุ์แห่ง สันติ ซึ่งในงานผู้ประสานงายฝ่ายพัฒนาสมาชิก และเครือข่าย และอาสาสมัครกลุ่มลางริน ร่วม ออกบูธ ให้ข้อมูลการทางานของแอมเนสตี้ รับสมัคร สมาชิก/ต่ออายุสมาชิก รณรงค์เรียกร้องไปยัง ประธานบริษัทเชลล์ให้รับผิดชอบกรณีนามั ้ นรัว่ ที่ เกิดขึ้นที่สามเหลี่ยมปากแม่นาไนเจอร์ ้ และรณรงค์ ยกเลิกกฎหมายด้านความมัน ่ คงที่ขัดต่อสิทธิ เสรีภาพตามระบอบประชาธิปไตยในพื้นที่สาม จังหวัดชายแดนใต้

March 7th - 9th Mr. Aquilino Q. Pimentel, the former President of Senate of the Philippines, visited Thailand to share his experiences regarding to the abrogation of death penalty campaign in the Philippines. He played a key role to push such legislation through the legislature. He also visited the National Human Rights Commission, the Senate, Director General of the Rights and Liberties Protection Department, and was interviewed by Thailand and International mass media.

March 26th – 27th the Silent Power group organized an exhibition, “Seeds of Peace”, which our Growth Mobilization Coordinator and Lang Rin volunteer group joint in the exhibition, and set up the booth to present AI’s work, subscription/renewal members, to provide a campaign to claim the president of Shell company in case of Niger Delta, and to campaign the abrogation security laws that violates to liberty and rights and as following on democratic system in the three southern provinces.

27 มีนาคม แอมเนสตีฯ ้ ประเทศไทย เข้าพบผู้แทน นายกรัฐมนตรีเพื่อนาเสนอรายงานสถานการณ์โทษ ประหารชีวิตทั่วโลก ปี 2554 ที่ทาเนียบรัฐบาล โดย เน้นย้าให้รัฐบาลดาเนินการปรับปรุงกฎหมาย เกี่ยวกับสิทธิมนุษยชนตามทีร่ ะบุไว้ในแผนแม่บท สิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งชาติ ฉบับที่ 2 ว่าจะเสนอ กฎหมายเพื่อเปลีย ่ นโทษประหารเป็นโทษจาคุก ตลอดชีวิต

31 มีนาคม – 1 เมษายน ออกบูธในงานตลาดนัด อาสาสมัคร ครั้งที่ 2 ณ อุทยานสวนเบญจสิริ รับ สมัครสมาชิก/ต่ออายุ จาหน่ายสินค้าระดมทุนและรับ สมัครทีมอาสาสมัครสาหรับกิจกรรมสัปดาห์รณรงค์ เรียกร้องบริษัทเชลล์ให้รับผิดชอบกรณีนามั ้ นรัว่ ที่ สามเหลีย ่ มปากแม่น้าไนเจอร์ ระหว่างวันที่ 21-29

March 27th AI Thailand visited a representative of Prime minister to submit the world death penalty situation report updated year 2011 at Government House. We emphasized the government to review all laws which related to human rights as following on the National Human Rights Plan, issue 2 to propose legislation replacing the death penalty is the life imprisonment.

March 31st – April 1st AI Thailand set up a booth in volunteer’s street fair, 2nd at Benchasiri Park. We were subscription/ renewal members, sold AI’s products for funding, and also recruited volunteer team for Campaign Week to claim Shell Company, in case of Niger Delta during 21 – 29 April.

ARTIST FOR AMNESTY Professional Chamnarn Chanrueng, an independent academic and columnist for the post’s “New Look”, the Bangkok Biz Newspaper, has supported the abrogation death penalty. He wrote that,

“according to the Christian faith, life is belonging to the God. The one who is entitled to take our life is only the God. So, who are you (the government) to entitle to take other life. The penalty of death does not provide any benefits for social, but be a representative of violence for supporting people’s satisfaction as “eye for eye, tooth for a tooth” that crime is not reduced.”

-------------------Khun Sangkama Sarawat, a professional of Information Communication Technology faculty, Communication Arts, Silpakorn University, and a TV host, “Chaw Tun Lok”, in 96.5 FM, MCOT has supported the Freedom of Expression said, “In the past

the media has been covered by the government, a big capital group, and opinions of some bureau. The more clearly media divide into group, the more space people presents their opinion and monitors. People need to analysis and understand the media. In currently, if social cannot present their opinion, they will be blind.”
