After the minimal lip gloss trends of the late 2000s and early 2010s, makeup has been on the upswing when it comes to reviving the bright statements made whether we’re talking or not: Bold and beautiful lips. Slowly but surely, we’ve been making our way back around to big and flashy, though not always shiny. Take a chance on a striking lip color from trends that are brazenly putting themselves out there this fall season.

THE CLASSIC RED

Old Hollywood is calling, and they want you to be the new queen of glam. Bright and soft reds made more supple by slightly overlining your lips, giving a fuller and more "Marilyn" look. Remember when flashing a brilliant red, keep the rest of your makeup on the minimal side. A subtle wing for eyeliner and a softer brow will let your lips do the talking.

BRIGHT PINKS, FLASHY FUCHSIAS

We haven’t seen bright pink as a trend since the early 2000s, and if you remember the glamorous days of Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, you’ll recall that pink never truly goes out of style. Bring it back with an unexpected flash of fuchsia, it’s perfectly on trend, and playful as ever.

PEACHES & ORANGES

Autumn is the sunset of the year. Bring out those beautiful hues with a peaceful and warm peach or orange. While peach is more subtle, it’s still a bold choice especially when paired with monochromatic and muted colors of fall fashion. Add a splash of color with a melon or floral orange, keeping it bold and deep.

It always feels like a risk adding bright colors to our everyday makeup palette, but as we bring the summer months to a close and step into fall, we want to carry some of that summer fun with us by creating bold, beautiful, bright, and exciting statement-making lips! n
