Falling in Love in the Fall
By Chellee Unruh
As the warm summer fades into the fall you may feel like the best of times are in the rearview mirror for the next couple of months. Let us reassure you that patio bars and lakeside dates are not the secret ingredients to finding a relationship. The best time to fall in love is the fall. The cooler months aren’t just made for sweaters and scarves, science supports that autumn creates the right mood for falling in love.
As the days become shorter in the fall, the melatonin levels in your brain increase making you feel lethargic and desiring the warm snuggly comforts of home, especially when you have someone to share the blanket with. According to experts at Match.com, testosterone levels also increase in November, so the environment for falling in love scientifically favors the autumn months.
Not convinced yet? Here are some of the reasons why fall is the ideal season for finding love or nurturing your relationship if you have already found that special someone.
THE FALL IS CONDUCIVE TO CUDDLING ALL OF THE TIME. the fall that makes you want to cuddle up. Throw on that snuggly blanket, toss some logs on the campfire, and roast some s’mores or sip on warm cider. After the fire outside dwindles, take the party indoors and snuggle up on the couch for a streaming flick. With all of the physical touch from cuddling, it will be hard not to fall in love!
STAYING COOL IN THE FALL.
Who hasn’t felt a little self-conscious on a summer date about the amount of sweat that you are producing due to the heat and nervousness from being on a date and wanting to make a good impression? The cooler temps of the fall do not create the environment for a lot of perspiration meaning you will be more comfortable and at ease on dates.
THERE ARE SO MANY GREAT FALL ACTIVITIES.
It is hard to deny that there is a lot going on in the fall, more so than in the summer. You can visit an apple orchard, take a hayride, pick pumpkins at a pumpkin patch, take in a winery, or test your fears at a haunted house. All these fall activities are fun and are
actual activities where you can get to know someone. Falling in love is all about the right mood, and the fall is perfect for making you feel playful and festive.
THEY CALL IT COMFORT FOOD FOR A REASON.
Fall is the season for delicious food that tends to be on the heavier side making you want to snuggle up after enjoying a meal. Think chili, soups, roasts, pies, and all those other yummy fall dishes. Intimacy is created over sharing a meal, so open a bottle of wine and get the chemistry going while you make a meal to enjoy together.
Don’t waste time, get out there and find that special someone. Winter is coming and you don’t want to be left alone in the cold! n Listing, Buying or Building - You need

A FAMILY FRIENDLY CULTURE
How one company sets the example for creating the right culture
According to Forbes, in today’s work atmosphere a well-defi ned, inclusive, and positi ve corporate culture is the glue that binds an organizati on and its employees. In this current post pandemic labor market, culture has never been more important than it is right now. This is why companies like Schulte Subaru that prioriti ze creati ng a positi ve environment for their employees are thriving and growing post pandemic. “Schulte Subaru is all about family and not just fi gurati vely, we are talking literally,” shares Mike Schulte. “We employ over 17 diff erent sets of employees that are related and can be found throughout all of the departments; sales, service, body shop, parts, concierge and restorati on.” “We have everything from husbands and wives, fathers and sons, along with daughters, uncles and even cousins.” So how did it come to pass that Schulte Subaru employs a multi tude of family members? It simply goes back to their employee centric culture they have created. Schulte Subaru strives to promote from within giving their employees the opportunity to grow with the company. This employment development strategy leads to happy employees that recruit their family and friends to apply when a positi on opens. In additi on to promoti ng from within, they also off er the benefi ts todays employees are looking for; team environment with autonomy, balance between work and home life, and a competi ti ve compensati on and benefi t package. Thus, creati ng an employee culture that is made up of friends and family that support each other, look out for one another, and hold each other accountable. In short, they act like family! Hiring family members might seem like a good idea, but some companies fear it could lead to challenging and uncomfortable situati ons or even potenti ally hurt relati onships, so they write company policies that discourage this practi ce. The way Schulte Subaru has been able to overcome this potenti al hiring challenge is by implementi ng a strong hiring process and creati ng an environment that promotes positi ve behavior
and rewards excepti onal customer service. By focusing on creati ng positi ve experiences for customers and employees it naturally diff uses any potenti al drama that could be associated with hiring family members. Schulte Subaru is more than just a car business, they take pride in their unique culture, and it shows through the way they invest in their employees, customers and their community. They serve as an industry best practi ce example to other companies looking to create a dynamic corporate culture that att racts and retains employees.
