CONCEPT STATEMENT & CONCEPT SKETCHES

MOLECULAR GASTRONOMY RESTAURANT CONCEPT : MOLECULE

SITE ANALYSIS :

The site is located in 660 Howard Street, San Francisco CA where is currently the financial heart the city of San Francisco. By the site is near the W hotel and directly close to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. There is Yerba Buena Garden on the right and also many schools around there including Academy of Art University (180 New Montgomery). So, it is a great benefit for opening a nice restaurant in this area. by getting more clients more to this restaurant. Target Group : - Tourists - Single Business - Business Group - Couple - Students

I have got a concept of “MOLECULE” from “Molecular Gastronomy” by the meaning of that is the science of cooking but it is commonly used to describe a new style of cuisine in which chefs explore new culinary possibilities in the kitchen by embracing sensory. To create a high concept Molecular Gastronomy Restaurant shares a vision of during the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SF MOMA), just next a half block. Including a dramatic 2-story atrium space, bar area and private room for 12 seats.

Artist

He concentrated on the hands-on manipulation of paper to create design models, which ultimately developed into sculptural pieces in their own right. He has lectured at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna as part of the Sliver architecture lecture series 2009 and is a regular guest lecturer at the graphic design department at Sheffield Hallum University.

Richard is represented by Victor Felix Gallery, London. By artist's spatial requirements: The images below demonstrate the development from the making of paper models by using computer (AutoCad and 3DMax). In the window space, that shows his artwork. To have a stage that can put paper sculpture.

LOW-E GLASS

Low emissivity (Low-E glass) is a critical component of high performance energy efficient windows. This glass has unique coating that allows the passage of short wave solar energy into a building but prevents long-wave energy produced by heating systems and lighting from escaping outside.

LONG WAVE HEAT ENERGY IS REFLECTED BACK TO THE OUTSIDE

OUTSIDE

LOW-E GLASS REFLECTS HEAT FROM INSIDE, REDUCING HEAT LOSS

STACK-VENTILATION This stategy is applied for capturing wind on the floor and get off at the top of the building

INSIDE

SOME OF THE SHORT WAVE ENERGY PASSES THROUGH THE LOW-E COATING, HEATING THE ROOM INSIDE

COURTYARD Courtyard provide open-to-sky outdoor space away from the public eye. the central void became a connecting volume between floors with visual, audio and physical link maintaining a rapport with vertically segregated floors. for the climactic feature, the hot air rises and escapes the building through the court.
