It always takes me by surprise when the school year ends and hot summer days are fast approaching. Houston has been steadily rediscovering our “norm” and the activity surrounding the real estate market indicates that things are back on an even keel. A sense of relaxation seems to cover our city as vacations and funfilled events come to the forefront. We invite you to review the latest sales figures from select neighborhoods. You’ll be able to see which areas have grown or contracted compared to the second quarter of 2017, the last quarter before Hurricane Harvey. We are also watching the political climate closely to be prepared for changes in the Houston real estate market. And we are, of course, encouraged by the strengthening of the price of oil and the positive effect it has on our city.
