I can resoundingly say that Houstonians are ready for Fall. It is invigorating to read about the upcoming cultural events that our city will embrace as the season begins. As a former school teacher, I recall the excitement of Fall, as it represented new beginnings for so many. However, the real estate market doesn’t particularly need new beginnings, as it has been remarkably strong over recent months. Buyers and sellers have navigated us into a very positive direction in all aspects of the market. The third quarter of this year compares to the same period of last year which was directly impacted by Hurricane Harvey. We are excited to note that, according to HAR, all but two communities had either a sales price increase, a unit increase, or both. That speaks to the inherent resilience of Houston’s people – where jobs and innovation continue to drive demand.
