Vice President, Brokerage Manager This past quarter has proven to be challenging for many reasons; one of which was unforeseen. The Thomas Fire swept through our county and claimed over 1,000 homes. The Sotheby’s International Realty – Ventura County offices stepped into action and started donation centers thanks to wonderful volunteer agents and supplies were gathered and distributed to all those in need. We stand with our community and hope all those effected will find solidarity as we rebuild and begin a new chapter. According to FLEX MLS, results for single-family homes in Ventura and surrounding areas for the fourth quarter of 2017 reflect an increase in median selling price. Westlake Village increased 26% while Thousand Oaks increased 9% (2016 vs. 2017). Area inventory remains at an all-time low; normal days on market averages are six months and there is currently only two months of inventory. In addition, in the fourth quarter of 2017, the average days on market declined to 45 days.
