It’s my pleasure to present the Ventura County and Surrounding Areas Market Update for the first quarter of 2019. According to the FLEX MLS, the results for single-family home sales in Ventura County and surrounding areas reflected an decrease of 2% in average sales price, from $956k in Q1 2018 to $937k in Q1 2019. The total number of units sold decreased year over year, with 783 units sold in 2018 compared to 686 units sold in 2019, a decrease of 12.4%. Days on the market increased to 76 days, a 13% increase from the same time last year.
