Pasadena Symphony is a service event where volunteers gather to help set up and create an environment to enjoy musical concerts hosted at a variety of places. It’s a really fun event to go to with friends and is a great experience for those looking to volunteer at more formal types of events!!

Pasadena Symphony is always an amazing event our Key Club has always volunteered at! Our jobs include helping usher in guests for the concert and doing all that is possible to ensure that the event runs smoothly! We get to volunteer with the Pasadena Symphony and pops organization whom have always been kind to us, listen to the concert music for free, and make memories with the rest of our volunteers! It’s always a fun event to go to, and although the shift may seem long at times, we have plenty of rest time in between! - Kayla Liu, Senior

Synopsis: For the month of March, we had an ice skating DCM in Pasadena! The officers and members that went were able to have fun and bond on the ice. Special shoutout to Juan Villeda for being the March member of the month!! <33

Kayla Liu: President 21’-22’ hi loves! your ‘21 - ‘22 president here, kayla liu! :) It is officially the end of our term and with that, my time as your president has also come to an end. It has genuinely been the greatest honor to have been able to serve you guys and be your president for this past year. It hasn’t been the easiest year, and transitioning back into in person events has been difficult with our restrictions, causing us to miss out on a lot of the amazing annual events we always do, but don’t fret because the future is a lot brighter <3 I know that our new board will serve you well and do their best to cultivate the loving environment we always strive to make and give you guys an amazing experience. This club has been my home for my entire highschool experience, practically a fourth of my life, and I owe everything to it. It has shaped me into the person I am today and I have met so many amazing people through our organization and gained unforgettable memories that I would never have the opportunity to have anywhere else. From waking up at 4AM to go to AIDS walk or some other race held at an unfathomable time of day, to dragon boat racing at Lotus Festival and releasing lanterns into the lake to celebrate our festival, I will never forget. From seeing the faces of the children with their care packages to crying over how grateful our homeless community was for being able to have a warm meal, I am forever grateful to this organization. It opened the door to the world of volunteer work and contributing to a better community, a better society, and being able to feel proud of yourself for being a part of something bigger than ourselves. So many memories have been created through this club for me, tears have been shed, and so much effort has been given. I have dedicated so much in order to continue the legacy of our club and I hope you enjoyed at least one moment during your time with us! I was not even close to perfect, but I truly did the best I could, and I am lucky to have had an officer board that I was so comfortable with to serve you guys! I am so lucky to have had all of you as my members this year, I have met so many amazing people in you, and it gives me hope for the future, as our future is you! My time has come to an end and it is now yours, and I truly hope you continue to give it a chance to find a home for yourself here as well! For the very last time, proudly serving you, <3 kayla liu

Alyssa Chen: Treasurer 21’-22’ “Hey guys! I can’t believe my key club journey has come to an end. Sitting here while trying to find the right words to say about this organization is the most difficult thing. The last four years of my key club journey has felt like a light flash. One day I’m a freshmen trying to navigate my way through this organization and the next I’m a senior trying to find the right words to say thank you for the last 4 years. Thank you for the laughter. Thank you for the hardships, but most of all, thank you for the friendships I’ve made along the way. My key club journey has been a wild one. From loving the organization, to hating it to the point of wanting to quit, it has taught me it all. It’s taught me compassion, leadership, and growth. Key club has been there every step of the way helping me grow not only as an individual, but also a leader. I am grateful for all the ups and downs that it’s brought me. Thank you to everyone who made my key club journey special. While this may be the end of an era for me, I’ll always cherish the memories in my heart. Key club will always be a big part of my high school journey. I just wanted to wish a good luck to all the future key clubbers and officers! I know you’ll all do great. So this is the end of my journey. Your ‘21-‘22 key club treasurer signing out. ❤”

Jenibelle Ho: VP of Communication 21’-22’ “Hi sealies! Thank you for making my last ever term in Key Club my FAVORITE TERM EVER!! I met so many new people this year, made so many new memories, and even got to reconnect with a family member! I’m beyond thankful for what key club has brought me and I hope to carry everything I’ve learned to college. I genuinely can’t wait to see where everyone takes their Key Club journey, and I hope your experience gets better year by year, as it did with me! Everyone in this club has such a special place in my heart, and I’ll definitely miss you guys! Thank you for everything MWAH!”

Jenny Chen: Historian 21’-22’ “4 words: I LOVE KEY CLUB!!! :]] I’ll truly miss the energy and spirit of this amazing club but I know it’s being left in good hands for next term so stay key-ute and live out that abooga spirit!! - ‘22 Historian out!”

Jenna Tran: Member Recognition Chair 21’-22’ “Hey seals! Thank you to everyone for making this last term memorable. It was an honor to serve as your 2021-2022 Member Recognition Chair and even though there were restrictions due to COVID, it was still an unforgettable year. To the new board, I want to wish you luck in this new term and I know you’ll do great.”

Catherine Nguyen: Tech Editor 21’-22’ “I can’t believe it’s been four years of being in this club already. It felt like yesterday when I was at my first volunteer event. I’ve had the honor of serving as your club tech editor, division executive assistant, and d35w lieutenant governor over the course of four years. I’m really thankful to be given this opportunity and I’m truly thankful to have such a supportive family in this club, especially for giving me support at my lowest. Thank you for everyone who’ve made my key club journey a great one. Through you guys I’ve built my self confidence and understood my self worth. I am who I am because of this club. Despite my lack of interest for this club now as a senior, I will admit that Key Club continues and will always hold a special place in my heart. It is the thing that I hold a lot of sentiment to. I am officially signing off now, see you later <3”

Lynna Lin: VP of Communication 21’-22’ “Bawling on the floor right now. I am so sad that this term is over but I am so beyond thankful for all the opportunities and memories that I’ve earned from this beautiful club. The officers I’ve got to work alongside this term are some of the sweetest people I know <3 And I have full confidence that this new 2022-2023 board will do amazing things. Thank you to Key Club for providing so many volunteer opportunities, there has never been a volunteer event where I didn’t have fun. I love you all and wish you the best of luck with everything!!”

Jacqueline Vo: Vice President at Large 21’-22’ “On my behalf of the board, I would sincerely like to thank everyone for making the ‘21-‘22 term possible. It was a challenging time for us in the beginning of the term with distance learning, but we still made it all the way. Coming back to school, I couldn’t have ever dreamed of what we would accomplish this year. We accumulated an insane 1000+ hours in December, and we received club of the year at DCON! I hope you all know that none of this would have been possible without all of you, our members! I couldn’t have been more ecstatic for the next officers of the 2022-2023 term. May they and current/future members strive to create another lasting legacy—and most importantly, splash with service!”
