FALL WINTER 2019/2020
#MUY PERTEGAZ Vol. I Prêt-à-porter Fall/Winter 19/20 The Pertegaz fall-winter 19/20 collection marks the mythic Spanish brand’s return to prêt-à-porter. The brand’s creative team has spearheaded the project in collaboration with the “maison” Pertegaz in Barcelona. After immersion into the house’s archives the team drew on Manuel Pertegaz´s works from the 80’s as inspiration for the collection #MuyPertegaz. It showcases original patterns, silhouettes, and finishes, re-interpreted for today’s woman. Inspiration The designer´s iconic cocktail dress – el Pajarito – made from red silk faille with a dramatic neckline and a grand oversize bow is the main inspiration for the new FW19/20 collection. Manuel Pertegaz’s most extravagant decade returns to stay; bows, metallic finishes, puffy sleeves and tailored suits reminiscent of Pat Cleveland´s style. #MuyPertegaz is an ode to innovation, clean lines, craft, precision in pattern making, textile selection, vibrant colors and statement pieces. Lines, color and fabrics The new Pertegaz prêt-à-porter is based on a “matte luxury” philosophy, and it is thought for a woman who appreciates and feels fashion in a very unique way, free of superficiality. Women “refined with a delicate and serene glamour” “swan-like women: fragile and majestic at the same time”, in the designer´s own words. In this collection the brand features day wear with an urban feel and tailor cuts. The evening wear showcases sophisticated pieces with a touch of flamboyance. The selected fabrics range from brocade and appliqués, cashmere, cold wool and silk taffeta. Looks are full of flowers, houndstooth and graphic silk prints; coupled with hand-embroidered knitwear and cocktail dresses, elegantly adorned with gemstones and feathers. Loyal to Manuel Pertegaz’s preferred palette, the pieces range in color from black and white, red and camel, with hints of turquoise, orange, light pink and coral. Fuchsia was chosen for the labels, marking the tone of the new prêt-à-porter collection.

SPRING SUMMER 2020
#MUYPERTEGAZ Vol. II Prêt-à-porter Spring/Summer 20 The new spring-summer 2020 collection travels to the seventies. In this revival of the colorful and liberated era of Pertegaz we find pop prints, comfortable pieces, elongated silhouettes, sartorial cuts and reinvented brand icons. The creative team has submerged into the house’s archive, mixing seventies details with avant-garde touches, fusing retro and modern notes to dress a #MuyPertegaz woman. Inspiration The seventies with its free spirit, hippie reminiscences, and relaxed silhouettes form the basis of #MUYPERTEGAZ Vol II. The starting point of the SS20 collection is the psychedelic print created by Manuel Pertegaz in 1969, made by endless waves that “drip” on the fabric. Bright colors, polka dots, flowers, high rise pants, logomania, bows, silk scarves, aerial kaftans and tailored suits mirror an era that returns in an urban XXI century version. #MUYPERTEGAZ Vol II. is a manifesto for fashion liberation, a tribute to pop art where psychedelic prints and geometric designs take the lead role. Bo-ho style marries folk, but also dances with the most feminine and glam disco, and the masculine (almost androgyne) silhouettes. Lines, color and fabrics Pertegaz SS20 prêt-à-porter is true to its DNA combining simple lines with dreamy volumes in its unique creations that reveal the house’s couture savoire faire to dress “a soft and delicate woman that shies away from vulgarity” in the words of the master. The daywear proposals include bright pieces with sophisticated notes, and sartorial cuts. In the evening we find sumptuous yet relaxed looks, with wrapping tunics toped with feathers and sequins. The collection is materialized though structured shapes, volumes, puff sleeves and light, fluid pieces. Regarding fabrics, we find moire, linen, taffeta, gazar, chiffon, ottoman, and creppe the chine, with crystals, feathers and sequins ornaments. Color palette ranges from green and yellow to orange and fuchsia, with brushes of blue, black and white.
