Competitive Graduate Awards (CGA) The CGA supports academically qualified new, admitted graduate students. Recipients are required to devote an average of 10 hours per week to research activity. Graduate Scholar Award (GSA) The GSA supports academically qualified new, admitted graduate students who are underrepresented in their field of study. l Tuition waiver for up to two academic terms l Application deadline: March 1

SIUE offers nationally accredited academic programs with one of the lowest tuition and required fees of all four-year institutions in Illinois. A number of assistantships, scholarships, research and travel grants, and graduate scholar awards are available each year to new and continuing graduate students.
Studio and lab fees are charged in addition to tuition and fees. Use the Tuition and Fees Estimator for more information. School of Business majors will be assessed a 15% differential tuition surcharge based on the in-state rate. Special rates apply for the School of Pharmacy and the School of Dental Medicine.
