Students who meet one of the approved exemption reasons, like commuting from a parent or guardian’s home address within 60 miles from campus, need to submit an exemption request. 1. What do I need to apply?
If you have 30+ semester hours (post high school) from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA, you will be admitted to SIUE. Please submit:
• Completed application: siue.edu/apply
• Official college transcript from each school attended
• $40 application fee
If you have fewer than 30 semester hours, you’ll have to meet first-year admission requirements—SAT/ACT scores are not required—and submit:

Admissions staff can do an informal and unofficial credit evaluation prior to admission. The official credit evaluation happens after you’ve been admitted to SIUE.
