Johnetta Haley Scholarship 12/1/2016

Up to $8,000 over 4 years as funding is available

Transfers (with a 3.0 GPA in at least 24 semester hours in transferable coursework) will be considered. This scholarship is designed to support enrollment of students who are underrepresented in their anticipated field of study.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship $2,000 awarded to Phi 12/1/2016 Theta Kappa-quality transfers admitted in an undergraduate program for fall term entry. Onetime award as funding is available.

Students transferring from a regionally accredited institution must have earned a minimum 3.5 GPA in at least 24 hours of course work that is transferable to SIUE, including students with a recognized associates degree. Students must be members of Phi Theta Kappa.

In-state tuition available to residents of: Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee and Wisconsin; children, grandchildren, siblings, step-children of SIUE alumni; and incoming transfer students with a 3.5 cumulative GPA. High-Achiever Opportunity 12/1/2016

Eligible out-of-state freshmen and transfer students receive the instate tuition rate. The opportunity equates to an annual reduction in tuition of approximately $11,000 (based on15 semester hours of credit) as funding is available.

Geographic Enhancement Opportunity (GEO) 12/1/2016 International students eligible

Eligible out-of-state freshmen and transfers meeting criteria are eligible for up to $9,400 (based on 15 semester hours of credit) as funding is available.

Transfers (with a 3.0 GPA in at least 24 hours of transferable coursework), international students (3.0 GPA and 79 TOEFL, or equivalent), or students who have been recognized through a competitive departmental process.

Living ON CAMPUS Our friendly, safe and modern residence halls are just the right place for you to find support and meet lifelong friends. On-campus living is the best way to become involved in campus activities and provides quick access to your classes and campus resources. A diverse residential community, SIUE houses 3,500 students on campus. Transfer students have three options for living on campus: n Evergreen Hall features suite- and apartment-style living with the amenities of a residence hall. Living units are available in four layouts and most contain private bedrooms. n Cougar Village combines the advantages and amenities of living on campus with the freedom of apartment life, offering independent, traditional apartment living. n Residence Hall Upper-class Wing is a suite-style wing set aside in one of the traditional firstyear communities for upper-class students. Features suite-style living. Located in Cougar Village, the Transfer Focused Interest Community (FIC) brings transfer students together in the same apartment buildings. Students living in the Transfer FIC will develop a support network of peers and receive assistance accessing campus resources.

Transfer Admission REQUIREMENTS If you attended a regionally accredited institution and meet or exceed the following requirements, you will be admitted to SIUE.* n 30

semester hours or more attempted post high school graduation: minimum cumulative 2.0 (C) GPA n Fewer than 30 semester hours: must meet freshman admission requirements (cumulative 2.5 GPA and 18 ACT or 970 SAT), and must submit college transcript(s), high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores n ACT is not required for those out of high school for more than five years *Admission to individual academic programs is a separate process and may include additional requirements.

You can get a general idea of what credits will transfer by checking the transfer equivalency guide, curriculum guide and other resources available at siue.edu/transfer. Also, the SIUE Office of Admissions can conduct an informal credit evaluation prior to admission.

Visit the SIUE campus to see what life may be like as an SIUE student (siue.edu/visit). n Begin your SIUE admission application up to 12 months in advance of desired term of entry. n Final transfer application deadline is four weeks prior to the start of the semester. However, you are strongly encouraged to apply early to ensure a successful transition to SIUE. n Be aware of final transfer application deadlines for your chosen major (visit siue.edu/transfer, click on Transfer Programs for more information). n Admission to some SIUE academic programs is competitive and may require an additional application.
