NAME(S) OF PARENT(S) OR GUARDIAN(S): Morris Bernard FAVORITE HIGH SCHOOL MEMORY: Spirit week is probably my favorite memory throughout high school because it’s the time of year when our class becomes more close than we normally are and we cheer each other on and just have a blast together. WHAT IS THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED? The greatest thing my teacher told me was to remain true to myself and let my personality shine brighter than the darkness that tries to follow, be yourself and never lose sight of it. WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER GRADUATION? I plan on joining a 5 year photography program that begins at Lane Community College and then transferring to the University of Oregon and receiving my Masters in the arts. I hope to work for National Geographic. WHAT ARE YOUR HOPES, DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS? I just hope for a life time of happiness and success and I know that I am capable of doing so. I hope to help the world we live in and make a true difference one photograph at a time. WHAT IS THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED? “Don’t take life too seriously, things tend to have a way of working themselves out on their own.” WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER GRADUATION? I plan to work as much as I can this summer then go to SLCC or UVU in Utah for the fall to study Psychology. WHAT ARE YOUR HOPES, DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS? I just want to learn, grow, and use my strengths for good. I want to experience more and leave this world better than I found it. GOOD ADVICE FOR UNDERCLASSMEN: Ask your teachers if you need help but don’t do it last minute. Also, try hard to ignore that negative and judgmental voice in your head that is putting you down. Mr. Dodson was going to be retiring so the band played for him in the mall as a going away. WHAT IS THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED? The best piece of advice I’ve ever received would be to never give up and push through even the hardest of situations. WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER GRADUATION? After graduation I plan to attend Lane Community College and receive my degrees in accounting and business. WHAT ARE YOUR HOPES, DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS? My Hopes are to become a certified personal accountant and open up my own accounting business. The best advice I have ever received was to work on everything important first and truly understand the subject, I was in advanced math and I always prioritized my math homework over anything else. WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER GRADUATION? I plan to register to the University of Oregon for Computer and Information science, I always enjoyed working with computers and I love the UO Campus. WHAT ARE YOUR HOPES, DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS? I’m still not sure about exactly what I want to do other than work with computers, I am not even sure what kind of computer work I want to do. GOOD ADVICE FOR UNDERCLASSMEN: Okay, this would have saved me lots of headaches, tears and suffering. Don’t worry about things you can’t change, try to improve yourself in other ways. If you got a D on that exam and you can’t make it up, make it up the next time, get an A, that will usually average a B. Also take a moment and relax, school sometimes sucks but it is worth it in the long run.
