Florence Municipal Airport handles light twin-engine and jet aircraft up to 12,500 pounds and features a 3,000-foot paved and lighted runway as well as self-serve fuel, which is available 24 hours a day.

The facility, off Kingwood Street at 2001 Airport Way, includes 23 hangars that can accommodate 34 aircrafts and one helicopter. There is room for additional hangars on the field, and nearby are light industrial-zoned lots available for lease.
An electric courtesy car and bicycles are available, and the comfortable pilot lounge offers free Wi-Fi, hot coffee, TV and flight planning aides. The lounge is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, except holidays.

Also, only an hour’s drive from Florence is the metropolitan area of Eugene, which offers a major airport, public bus service and train service for residents.
FLORENCE-EUGENE CONNECTOR
NEW Starting in February 2020, the Florence to Eugene Connector bus will run seven days per week, with two routes per day, except holidays. Tickets are $5 one-way, with fares between Florence and Mapleton at $1. Tickets can be purchased through the bus driver for exact change. The Florence-Yachats Connector operates between Florence and Yachats on the central Oregon coast. Tickets are only $2.50 one-way or $5 for all-day service. The bus will make
four round-trips each day, departing from the Florence Grocery Outlet stop, making one stop at Carl G. Washburne State Park on Highway 101, then arriving in Yachats at the Little Log Church, Third and Pontiac streets. Service hours are Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 7:35 p.m., except holidays. RHODY EXPRESS
Rhody Express, a community transit service, operates Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and provides transportation around Florence for a small fee. Fares are $1 for one way or $2 for all day. Up to 16 passengers can ride the bus at any one time. The vehicle is wheelchair accessible and includes space for bicycles.
Rhody Express runs along two routes, first the South Loop (from Grocery Outlet to Old Town to Three Rivers Casino Resort) and then the North Loop (from Grocery Outlet to Fred Meyer).
Passengers may board the bus at any safe location along each route.
The bus operates on most days, except for legal holidays.

RIVER CITIES TAXI
River Cities Taxi provides taxicab services for the Florence area. The taxi company runs daily from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m., and runs 24 hours on Friday and Saturday. Each weekday, the FRIENDS OF FLORENCE van offers a free shuttle service for cancer patients receiving radiation treatments from health centers in the Willamette Valley, driving from Florence to Eugene and Springfield.
For 35 years, the van has transported nearly 30,000 patients to their radiation treatments at the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center in Eugene and Oregon Urology Institute in Springfield.
The volunteer-driven van, which relies on individual contributions and Van Fans fundraisers to cover costs of gas and upkeep, stops for patients in Florence, Mapleton, Walton, Noti and Veneta.
