Siren Thursday at 8 p.m. on FREE This new supernatural-tinged drama series is set in the placid coastal town of Bristol Cove, which local legend touts as the erstwhile home of mermaids. What may have worked well for the local Chamber of Commerce takes a dark turn, however, when a mysterious beauty (Eline Powell) who calls herself Ryn appears in the town and begins wreaking havoc among its residents. Alex Roe, Ian Verdun, Rena Owen and Fola Evans-Akingbola also star. Another new episode immediately follows.
Home by Spring Saturday at 9 p.m. on HALL Poppy Drayton (“The Shannara Chronicles”) stars in this 2018 romantic drama as an ambitious event planner who gets the career opportunity of a lifetime. Passing herself off as her boss, she returns to her rural hometown to coordinate a major event, with a little help from her family and a special guy (Steven R. McQueen, “The Vampire Diaries”). Kix Brooks, formerly of the country duo Brooks & Dunn, also takes a supporting role.
Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert Sunday at 8 p.m. on KGW, KOBI Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s legendary rock opera returns to its roots as a “concept album” with this staging, to be done before an on-site gathering (as well as the vastly larger television audience) at the Marcy Armory in Brooklyn, N.Y. The cast of very diverse musical talents includes John Legend in the title role, the iconic Alice Cooper as King Herod, and Sara Bareilles — just off her Broadway run in “Waitress,” for which she also composed the score — as Mary Magdalene.
