In order to achieve good detailing of reinforcement , it is necessary to do the following,
Study of reinforcement detail in advance Confirming the availability of rebar's Competency and the skill of bar benders and their tools used. Study of concrete pouring sequences Any embedment's , inserts (rails, bolts, steel plate etc) to be included in RCC structure. Formwork quality CONTENTS • Tools for bar cutting/bending • Rebar detailing in Beams, Columns & Slabs, • Rebar in special cases, construction joints, • General activities on reinforcement works
TOOLS USED FOR CUTTING AND BENDING AT SITE POWER OPERATED CUTTING AND BENDING MACHINE ARE ADVISABLE MACHINERY TO BE USED FOR REINFORCEMENT WORK. SINCE IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE IN ALL CASES, SOME BASIC TOOLS OF USED ARE MENTIONED BELOW :
