mixed use | under construction | site: ChongQing, China | GFA:106,000 m2 FAR:13.6 - designer of concept design,schemetic design, design development package - chief designer of curtain wall parametric model, curtain wall package This project derives it inspiration from the existing site characteristics most notably it's extreme terrian. We envision an integrated and sustainable 24/7 mixed use development combining retail, office and entertainmnetment. The main concepts are linked to both the local culture of Chongqing and the nature of Financial institutions.

02 Nanjing Strait City Phaze I Zone A Sales Center mixed use | completed | site: Nanjing, China | GFA: 5,000 m2 FAR:1.1 - designer of concept design,schemetic design, design development package The sales center emerges from the landscape as an extension of nature into the pedestrian greenbelt. Measuring electricity generation from PVC panels providing building users a first-hand understanding of how sustainability impacts building usage. Design features of the building skin market and showcase the possibilities of sustainable technologies and architecture central atrium skylight for daylighting, indigeous planting green roof and PVC panels. The practical benefits of these technologies aligned with the aesthetics of the building create an embodiment of the synergies between sustainable devlopment and design.

Huawei institution campus focus on renovation, which as a result, makes a preliminary sketch in the predesign process. We envision a new prototype for Huawei Wuhan compus phase II that unifies working area with communication and entertainment space that allows for more collaboration among employee and ensures different departments are in harmony with each other, and not working at cross-purposes. A fusion with landscape, sustainable facade strategy, also promotes good health, arouses the enthusiasm of innovation and encourages positive working attitutes among employees. For the past half century since the agreement was signed, the Korean DMZ has been a deadly place for humans. However, the natural isolation along the 155 miles length of the DMZ has created an involuntary park which is now recognized as one of the most well-preserved areas of temperate habitat in the world. With respect for the existing serenity and peacefulness of the site, we achieved our project through a tactical dissolution of the object based on the blurring of its silhouettes and the dissolution of its presence. We locate our building in this place facing water and with hills on the back, and a tidal marshes with ever-changing landform. The rising tide would bring water up and flow along the land and permeate through our building, which is consciously designed to welcome this interaction. The museum tour is imbued with extraordinary experience overlapped with environment. In addition, an observatory is specificly designed to feel the site: its precious peacefulness and an invisible tense atmosphere, which conducts a completely different advanture from traditional gallery experience. Elaborate material selection is another adding to the surreal quality of our museum. When moving forward, people encounter the outer corten layer, the inner concrete and the construction core. As the geometry is twisting and folding, there is the interweaving of the three distinct material, casting an another layer of ever-changing sensuality. The palm print texture and the flesh alike curvature wall are trying to remind visitors' memory of war.

Arctic Ice Generator and Methane Catcher site: Arctic | Winter Break 2014
In the Arctic, three problems are compounding one another: emissions causing global warming, sea ice loss causing accelerated warming, and methane releases further accelerating Arctic warming, with the danger of triggering runaway global warming. This project functions as Arctic ice generator and methane catcher that alleviates such process while at the same time providing houses for thousands of aboriginals. If we isolate a vast water body with huge biopolymer surface around the building under the water, and stretch tentacle-like thin layer nanofilration biopolymer tube to filter the salt out of the water body, seawater with low salt content has a relatively higher freezing point, making the supercooled seawater more easily to freeze. Some frazil ice on the surface and vibration form wave and wild will trigger the supercooled water to sheet ice. the pressure-dependent depression of the freezing point of seawater can lead to the formation of supercooled seawater near the surface adjacent to large, thick, floating Antarctic ice shelves. Once sea ice forms into sheet ice, it continues to grow through the winter. And the ice producing process will prevent the ice sheet melting during the summer. In this case, it remains until the following winter, when it grows and thickens. And meanwhile, the collected salt can be used as the melton salt battery or energy storage material, which could provide the heating and electricity of the building. Moreover, during the sea ice formation, the brine will be excluded through brine channel, and the polymer filter surface will collect these salt for further use.

we are facing with NEW PRIVACY
From interviewing four housing types in Shanghai - the traditional local settlement "Lilong" and later adopted middle-rise appartment (one stairs-six units and one stairs-two units) and high-rise appartment, we conceived the ironic paradox - with a seemingly growing number of public space per capital, it accompanies with more alienation between people. The vibrant community life is disappearing: neighbours no longer acquiented with each other. This is what we called NEW PRIVACY

UNIT TYPE Lifestyle is changing rapadly; there is no single model. - the woman has joined the working world and consequently her role in the home has been reduced - smaller apartment - unit type A/C - the young generation has converted appartment to working studio - studio - unit type B/D - huge development of new technologies applied to the world of work and services that make telework, teleshopping, possible from home itself - live work - unit type D/F/J/K - the elderly have been rehoused in the old people's homes - houses connected with courtyard and convenient services - unit type I - unstable couples leading to a growing number of people who live alone - smaller private space with easy access to community space - unit type A/B/C/D -growing demand for job mobility -greater possible degree of flexibility - less need of private space "for living" - easy access to community

Ours is a time of DIVERSITY
The function of meseum has been evolved -from mono art appreciation to multi experience -from plural educational purpose to vibrant social medium -from government sponsorship to individual management -from singular demography to the entire society calling for simultaneity of individual events in open structure. Meanwhile, I considered the impact of the singular upon the collective should not as "part of a whole". but rather as specificity "interconnected with the whole"

FACADE AND STRUCTURE We have grown up in a world of rigid containers, with scarce movements and deflections, while the natural universe is based upon flexibility and mutations-the bird's wings, the branches of trees. We are surrounded by mobility and transformations. -Hoping structure and architecture can following this reality, I proposed an experiental structure integrate with natural movements. -Facade here is not a singular element of architecture, but rahter speak as combination of structure and interior experience. -With self-supportive facade eliminating the necessity of traditional beam-column system, providing interior flexibility and continuous experience 59

the AMBIGUITY between the ground and the envelope. Rather than addressing the two elements in the classic opposition, I delved to explore the INDETERMINATION between them. Architecture no longer appears as a vertical, active entity constructed over the horizontal, passive ground plane. The ground becomes an active, constructed plane where the architecture emerges as an improbable, fluctuating figures, giving the ambiguity between the surface and the space, between the two dimensional and the three-dimensional.
The new ground is neither abstract nor neutral and h concrete and differentiated. It is neither figures nor backgrounds, but an operating sys many possible events.
