Working in the run-down neighborhood of Uptown in Pittsburgh with the Issues of Practice Class and Action uptown, we were tasked with rennovating an existing 3-storey brick structure to provide affordable housing to rejuniovate the neighborhood.

The expansion to T1 at JFK focuses on creating a connection to the existing building, while creating a new identity for the terminal. Parabolic troughs are used to generate energy for the the airport.

The Carlsberg Visitor Center closes off the largest courtyard in the Carlsberg development while creating an area for visitors to relax before entering the building. The plan is organized around two converging paths, showcasing Carlsbergs different sponsorships.

The Carrie Furnace Visitor serves as a tribute to the past steel industry. A large occulus displays the mechanics of the site and a glass enclosure allows vistors to experience the proccesses of steel making. The building sits as a mass in contrast to the decaying site.
