Employees want to feel like they have a sense of belonging in their environment. This creates a sense of meaning in the workplace. Creating a sense of community amongst employees will allow them to work towards the same goal.

Offices should seek furniture that is adjustable, adaptable, and movable to cater to employees of all abilities. Employees desire more control over where, when, and how they work. Allowing opportunities of different ways to work will increase productivity.

Solution: design welcoming environments with encouraging and visible wayfinding and company branding. Create spaces where employees can socialize and build relationships while at work.

The simple, yet effective tagline “everyday robotics” reminds consumers of NEXT’s primary goal, helping their consumers by designing robotics. The variation of colors seen in the branding represents the diversity and the inclusivity that NEXT celebrates on a daily basis, both within their company and in their community.

Productivity

Balancing the 4 key space types: personal, collaboration, learning, and social will allow for more productivity. Supporting both in-office and remote workers equally will lead to more focus, collaboration, and better relationships amongst employees.

Solution: provide various arrangements of furniture for employees to choose from instead of just their assigned desk. Provide flexible furniture that can easily be adjusted throughout the day, such as sit-to-stand desks and different postures throughout.

Optimism

A workplace will be more successful if employees feel inspired and creative. Creating spaces that allow for this both individually and in group settings will create a sense of community and lift spirits.

Solution: provide various adaptable spaces that have mobile furniture, power, appropriate technology, and space division. Provide both collaboration and focus spaces within office with various furniture layouts at different postures.

Solution: design with uplifting colors and textures that are proven to boost people’s moods. Create a company culture through design that will allow employees to feel connected to the company and each other.
