Dear Alumni and Friends of SJND, It is with distinct honor and privilege that I serve and lead this amazing community during the current climate of social unrest and in light of the drastic changes to learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. What brings me much pride and hope during this time is the resiliency of our students and the creativity and innovation of our teachers as they work tirelessly to engage, educate and care for our students. I am immensely grateful for those who support us in this pursuit, specifically our donors. Your support inspires us to meet the challenges of these times, growing and adapting along the way. SJND continues to advance our mission to “develop confident, open-minded and effective leaders who are ready to live joyful lives of faith, scholarship and service.” Our beloved community will work together to move forward and make positive changes so that the tradition of our Pilot family spirit thrives. It is our goal that the school’s mission be lived out by our students beyond Chestnut Street and contribute to a more just, equitable and knowledgeable world. I am confident that current and future Pilots will be change makers and live out God’s purpose.
