Rationale (200 words)

A concept driven investigation into Retail brand personalities with a focus on packaging, POS and promotion. A concept driven investigation into Retail brand personalities with a focus on consumer interaction.

Proposed research Areas & Themes - (400 words) I propose to research heavily into design and graphics for retail, focusing mainly on fashion retail but experimenting with other areas. I will keep upto date with design for retail news, and investigate these main areas: -Packaging, -POS, -Branding, -Interactivity, -Events, -Visual Merchandise. Exploring how consumers engage with the graphics.
