AROUND THE TOWN CLUB We're back! It's time for us to go back in the community. Join us for a night on the town! This social club utilizes community activities which are selected by the group to improve socialization, leisure awareness and independent living skills.

Try new things and explore your community with the support and encouragement of friendly, knowledgeable staff.

The first night of program will be held at the Camden Community Center. Location thereafter varies based on participants chosen activities. Members must be able to participate within a 1:6 staff to participant ratio and be independent with their personal care needs. Please note: registration fee covers staffing costs only.

Additional fees may be required based on chosen activities. Masks will be strongly recommended when at the community center.

POWERSOCCER Do you use a power wheelchair? Join this beginner, intermediate, or advanced class with different San Jose teams in the electrifying and growing sport of power soccer! Whether you just want to learn the sport or aspire to compete in future tournaments, this is the program for you.

Participants will learn power soccer techniques, develop skills, practice drills, and prepare for competition. Participants must be able to function in a 1:8 staff to participant ratio, independent with personal care needs or provide an attendant for personal care.

Attendants will be required to pass a City of San Jose background check in programs that serve youth under 18 years of age. This will be held in-person in the gymnasium at Bascom Community Center. No class on 10/08, 11/12, & 11/26.

WHEELS ON FIRE (In-person)

We're back in action! Have you got game? Basketball, Disc Golf, Football, Bocce, Softball, Field Events...You play it, we offer it! Wheels on Fire is a sports team designed for athletes with physical disabilities who enjoy a variety of sports. No wheelchair, no problem. We have extra chairs for use during program. Athletes of all abilities are welcome. The team practices basic sports skills, team cooperation and rules of competitive play.

This program focuses on exposure to a variety of wheelchair sports with the potential for competitive skill development. We may also engage in special activities such as holiday themed events or field trips. Snacks may be provided. Pre registration is highly encouraged or the program may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Participants must be able to participate in a 1:5 staff to participant ratio and be independent with personal care needs or provide an attendant. Masks are highly recommended for the duration of the activity. FOLKLORICO DANCE - for individuals with disabilities Dance is more than just moving to music. Each season, participants will learn two dances. As part of the learning process, we will teach about the history of the dance and its area of origin.

SIMPLY COOKING This introductory course for individuals with disabilities (ages 16+) and it covers basic kitchen safety, basic menu planning, and preparing simple dishes. Menus will include breakfast, lunch, dinners, and desserts. Class includes lecture, observation, and hands on preparation. Participants will receive instructional materials to take home.

Class is conducted in a teaching kitchen which utilizes gas burners.
