Intermediate Guitar is a class designed for students who have already completed Intro to Guitar or have similar playing experience and seek a way to keep playing and developing their skills. Intermediate guitarists will have a chance to practice and perform a set of songs in various musical styles in a guitar ensemble (band of guitars). Students will also have the opportunity to perform in solo pieces they may be currently working on. Please consider the following policies and requirements before registering for a San Jose Recreation Preschool class:       

Requirements for a parent participation, volunteer, snack, etc varies by center. Teacher to child ration is 1:10 or better. Participants must be toilet trained by the first day of program. Non-registered children are not allowed in the class at any time. Please make arrangements for siblings on your participation day. A birth certificate may be requested for age confirmations. The City of San Jose, Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services provide recreational programs ONLY and not licensed childcare. After reaching the class capacity your child can be put on a waitlist. If spot becomes available at any SJ Recreation Preschool center, you will receive a call and be given the option to enroll at that center or to stay on the waiting list. Monthly payment plan is available, with auto-pay on the 20th of each month. A valid credit card must be on file for auto-pay option. (Kinder Prep & Little Learners only)

Adult Basketball features (2) different leagues based on skill level. Competitive is our intermediate level, and Recreation is for recreational players. The Almaden Community Center offers a variety of classes and programs for adults who are 50+! If you are looking for a more casual setting and the ability to interact with people who have similar interests, the programs for active adults offer a wide range of possibilities. You can brush up on your painting, learn how to play new card games, or step into some new dance skills while enjoying the company of those around you! All of our classes and programs are printed monthly in our Senior Newsletter which can be found at the Front Desk. Sign up for a 2016 membership (valid through December 31, 2016) to receive discounts on Active Adult classes!

PRICES for 2015-2016 R.O.C.K. Afterschool Program Option 1 Full Payment ($1737 total) You may register at the Almaden Community Center, or online at Option 2 $579 per enrollment period www.sanjoseca.gov/prns (3 months) Option 3 $193 a month auto pay Registration will not be accepted at the school office. The Almaden Community Center at (408) 268-1133 *Program will be closed during all holidays and breaks observed by the school. It is also closed on staff development and in-service days. The program will operate on all minimum days including those occurring during parent-teacher conference week.

(Credit card is a requirement for auto pay) Option 4 10 visits/$125 (per punch pass) (No punch passes available for TK and Kinder at Simonds)

Limited scholarships are available for students that receive FREE or REDUCED LUNCH.
