ART WITH THE MASTERS

BABY BALLET (PARENT/CHILD)

Learn to use yellow like Van Gough, make Cubist faces like Picasso, and discover the secrets of Monet's Lily Pads. Participants will learn about the world's greatest painters through stories and anecdotes while studying their most famous paintings.

They will paint, use acrylic paints, water color, and make collages to create their own masterpieces. All materials will be provided.

Baby Ballet encourages self-expression and fun! Children learn to respond to music, improve balance and agility, and express their feelings through dance. A variety of music and props such as scarves and teddy bears keep your little one entertained.

PRE-BALLET

Explore both hip hop & tumbling. Children will learn basic hip hop dance moves to fun kid's music while building confidence, coordination, and rhythm. In tumbling they will have fun doing log rolls, bridges, bear walks, balancing, stretching and jumps.

SUPER HERO GIRLS AND BOYS

BEGINNING PIANO & KEYBOARDS

Take off on an adventure of super hero fun! Parachutes and tumbling mats, song and dance, arts and crafts, will have super heroes active and moving and imagination flowing. Create your super hero name and activate your super powers then race through our obstacle course and save the day!

Students will be taught the basics of playing music on the piano/keyboard. Topics include: basic notes, rhythm and theory as well as finger exercises, chords and scales, all with the goal of being able to play basic keyboard accompaniment parts and fun songs. CONTINUING PIANO (YOUTH) This is a follow-up class to Beg. Piano Level 1. Students will work on music rudiments and songs both as a group as well as receive some individual instruction. Topics include playing chords to popular and classic songs, melody playing and beginning solo piano skills. Class curriculum rotates each session so the student can repeat this class up to 4 times. This class is perfect for previously enrolled students who want to continue improving their Spanish speaking skills, as well for those new enrollees who have intermediate proficiency in Spanish. By the end of this course, the student should be comfortable speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish using past verb tenses and reflexive verbs.

Table tennis is the most popular racket sport in the world, also known as ping pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight, hollow ball back and forth with rackets. The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net. This is a great group and there is the opportunity for tournaments and competitions in house. Community services to cater to the elderly segment of the Assyrian community with a large segment having language barriers who is currently in or nearing their retirement age and in need of social engagement, senior empowerment programs to promote health and wellness through education, enrichment, social gatherings, and exercise.

Administration and Business Services Center for work2future, a federally funded workforce development program that is administered by the City of San Jose as part of the Office of Economic Development.

In addition to elderly segment of the Assyrian Community, Assyrian American Association of San Jose conducts after school programs for children to include educational, cultural and art enrichment programs.
