ARTS & CRAFTS MY FIRST ART CLASS Explore five art stations with a different theme each week. Children engage in ageappropriate projects at their own pace and in their own way. Each class will end on a musical note with singing and dancing. Aprons are provided but wear your grubbies. All art materials are included in the price of class. SPECIALTY BEGINNING GARDENING—NEW! Do you have a yard but no idea how to make it pretty or keep the plants alive? Are you itching to get your hands in the dirt, but uncertain how to start? Did you have a garden in another state or another country, but find gardening in California weird and frustrating? This class is for you! Over three Saturday mornings you will learn the basics of successful gardening in California. We will cover everything from our climate to our soil, how to choose and buy plants, gardening techniques and tools, and how to deal with common problems like weeds and snails. We will discuss how to garden sustainably to help restore life and balance to the environment. This course will be great for anyone wanting to grow flowers, vegetables, or landscape plants. MUSIC GUITAR LESSONS: YOUTH LEVEL I This fun and educational class is for the absolute beginner guitarist. Students will be introduced to the basics of guitar playing and music fundamentals by learning fun, contemporary songs.
