ARTS & CRAFTS ART STUDIO

WORLD OF WATERCOLOR

Kids explore how art influences everyday life while creating their own unique masterpieces. They will learn about diverse cultures and art from all over the world. Imaginations quickly develop and they learn the basic concepts of color, style, form and design by creating collages, masks, abstracts, clay sculptures and much more. All materials are included.

HIP HOP BEGINS

This class safely introduces basic gymnastics balances, rolls, springs and rotations while also developing a dance foundation. Children improve motor skills and coordination in a playful atmosphere. Beginning dance moves help develop rhythm, spatial awareness and self-confidence. A variety of props add to the fun! DANCE BABY BALLET (PARENT/CHILD)

PRE-BALLET

Baby Ballet encourages self-expression and fun! Children learn to respond to music, improve balance and agility, and express their feelings through dance. A variety of music and props such as scarves and teddy bears keep your little one entertained.

Suggested Attire: Comfortable clothes or leotards, tights and tutus.

SJ RECREATION PRESCHOOL Please consider the following policies and requirements before registering for a San Jose Recreation Preschool class:  Parents should pack a snack for their child each day. Parent volunteer requirements vary by class, please inquire for details.  Teacher to child ratio is 1:10 or better.  Participants must be toilet trained by first day of program.  Non-registered children are not allowed in the class at any time. Please make arrangements for siblings on your participation day.  A birth certificate may be requested for age confirmations.  The City of San José, Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services provide recreational programs ONLY and not licensed childcare.  After reaching the class capacity your child can be put on a waitlist. If a spot becomes available at any SJ Recreation Preschool center, you will receive a call and be given the 

option to enroll at that center or to stay on the waiting list.

Monthly payment plan is available with auto-pay on the 20th of each month. A valid credit card must be on file for monthly auto-pay. (Kinderprep and Little Learners only)

LITTLE LEARNERS Children will be introduced to socialization, positive self-esteem, following directions and simple learning concepts. MUSIC & THEATER PIANO KEYBOARD - BEGINNING Students will be taught the basics of playing music on the piano/keyboard. Topics include: basic notes, rhythm and theory as well as finger exercises, chords and scales, all with the goal of being able to play basic keyboard accompaniment parts and fun songs. Keyboards will be provided for students in class. However, students will need a keyboard at home for practice. ANTIQUES: THE INCURABLE COLLECTOR IN ALL OF US These sessions are designed for folks with a curiosity for all things antique and collectible.
