SJ Rec Preschool Spanish Exploration @ Willow Glen This class introduces your child to the Spanish language as they prepare for kindergarten through age-appropriate activities, learning concepts, socialization skills, and fun. Your child will gain a basic understanding of Spanish words, shapes, colors, pre-phonics, literacy building (i.e. identifying letter sounds, writing the alphabet and simple words), number recognition, and counting up to 30 in both English and Spanish. The goal is to have fun, participate, and learn. Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted. All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class. Requirements for parent participation will vary by center.

SJ Rec Preschool Little Learners @ Kirk Community Center Room 2 In Little Learners, children will be introduced to socialization, positive self-esteem, following directions, and simple learning concepts. Children will work on hand eye coordination and motor skills, while gaining independence through the use of circle time, music, songs, stories, play, arts and crafts. Food will be provided for cooking activities and may be provided for special events. Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted. Program Information R.O.C.K. is available Monday-Friday on school campuses from the time school is dismissed until 6 p.m., except school holidays, breaks, and in-service days. Payment Options R.O.C.K. payment options include a one-time payment in full or quarterly or monthly auto pay. A Punch Pass for 10 site visits to R.O.C.K. will also be available for students. We utilize creative fun activities to help kids to cooperate in a group setting and build self esteem in our fun low-pressure environment. Shin guards are required.

Come join the fun! Students will have fun learning Ballet positions, warm-ups, and tap steps. Correct technique and terms will be taught. Students will learn a dance routine to perform for family and friends. Wear dance attire and bring tap and ballet shoes. BUILDING CONFIDENCE AND WRITING SKILLS
This course teaches young students the essentials of building confidence in public speaking. Taught using the fun concepts of (don’t) show and tell, storytelling (scary and funny stories!), reciting poems, and pretend games. This is an excellent class to start developing confidence in young students in a fun way. The participants learn how to stand tall and speak confidently in front of a group. They begin to understand the concepts and importance of maintaining eye contact, good posture, volume and expressions.
