This morning after the 11:00 am service we’ll be hosting a curry competition in the Fellowship Hall. Come and taste the delicious entries.

Join us for our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, March 7 at 7:30 pm. We will meet at St. John’s Vancouver, 5350 Baillie Street.

Lunch will be $5/person or $10/family. CATECHISM // RESPONDING TO THE GOSPEL Christians talk about repentance all the time, but what does it actually mean? Is it simply feeling badly about things we have done, or something more? This week in catechism we will dive into questions about how God calls us to respond to the gospel. This week may be particularly helpful to those interested in explaining their faith to others, or investigating what it might mean to repent and place their faith in Jesus personally. You are welcome to join us downstairs at 11:00 am as we explore the answers to these foundational questions. MISSIONS LUNCH // MARCH 10 Scott Neufeld from Journey Canada will be sharing at our next missions lunch on March 10 following the 11:00 am service in the Fellowship Hall. Lunch will cost $5/person or $10/family. KEEPING COMPANY WITH GOD // FEB 25 @ 7:30 PM Join us for Keeping Company with God: rest, reflection and restoration at the end of the day. Is technology our master or servant? The Collins dictionary defines technology as, “methods, systems, and devices which are the result of scientific knowledge being used for practical purposes.” A definition doesn’t seem very useful as we think about how to manage the use of technology in our daily lives, but this topic is critical because we don’t necessarily think about how technology is forming us. That is why we are going to spend three weeks learning about the impact of technology and discussing our response. Craig Gay will be teaching us over these weeks as he recently released the book, “Modern Technology and the Human Future.” In our first session (this Tuesday!) we will be looking at the topic of our modern way of looking at things and why this is a problem. We invite everyone to join us Tuesdays, February 26, March 5, and 12 at 7:30 pm. All three sessions will take place in the Fellowship Hall at St. John’s Vancouver, 5350 Baillie Street.
