Letter about Loggerodeo™ 2020

Letter about Loggerodeo ™ 2020:

The year 2020 will be remembered in history. The COVID-19 virus has changed many lives. Some of us have learned to sacrifice things like high school seniors missing out on graduation and many of us are learning how to be a family again by staying home and doing things together. History has given us many obstacles to tackle such as world wars, polio, measles, the Spanish Flu and the Great Depression, to name just a few. We have survived and persevered to keep living and continue on. We will overcome this also.

That being said, the Loggerodeo™ board has regrettably made the decision to cancel the 2020 Loggerodeo™ Fourth of July celebration. We have given a lot of consideration and thought to this decision. Because of the number of people that attend these events, we feel that it is best to cancel so that we do not put anybody in jeopardy of contracting this virus. All it takes is one person to get many sick. Our board feels that we all needed something positive and fun for a change but there’s too much risk involved.

On a positive note, we are hoping to have fi eworks and the chainsaw carving event later on in September. We do not have the dates as of now but stay tuned.
